Dan Quinn better not get a head coaching gig

Washington was right to part ways with Ron Rivera after four tough but ultimately middling seasons, but to go from one aging defensively minded retread to another is curious considering how forward-thinking the organization appeared to be, welcoming both new ownership and front-office leadership. Quinn oversaw an opportunistic "D" with the Cowboys, no doubt, and he's approached the mountaintop before, taking the Falcons to the Super Bowl in 2016. He also went just 18-23 with zero playoff bids after that. Perhaps his experience will help ground a rebuilding team, but this hardly registers as an inspiring, innovative move.

IMO, just more fuel to succeed. Like a reporter has such a finite insight that he can already see the future. Do I wish the Head Coach was Vrabel or someone else? Yes. But it isn't and chances are the people at the top know more than I do about all this. I certainly hope so.
Everyone has an opinion but this writer gets paid to speculate and make these type of predictions with no back end accountability that I ever see.

What he should have added at the end of his opinion," from what I can see at this time". Mainly because he can only see part of the picture certainly not all of it.

If you are a fan, you have to stay optimistic. No confidence means no hope and therefore no support IMO. But for me, I won't give him 2-3 years to show me. I'll give him until week 1. There is plenty to fix on this team and all of it won't take 2 years to show up. And what I want to see is not 5 wins in a row necessarily, it's a change in attitude and what needs to be the right direction.
Just ask Joe Gibbs who started out 0-5 before he won 4 NFC Championships and won 3 Super Bowls or more recently, Dan Campbell who has turned the narrative around in Detroit.

So until then I will hope like hell. That's about all I can do.
