Ok... what is going on. After they beat the pirates big in a game I started to track them to see if they would in fact get hot (as it always happens in MLB no matter how bad a team is)

they have now won 5 in a row... and swept a team?

all I've been telling gambling newbs in Ohio since the start of the year is that MLB is the most unpredictable sport...

95 x 0.25 = 23.75

They've won 17 games so far, add 24 more

I'm thinking mid 40's myself.

Feeling here is the tanking is over, the point has been made, they're going to Vegas.
Now the kids that play regularly are going to play like their next contract depends on it.
And it does.

Any of these kids that show up and show out and get noticed by the big boys will get paid.

You can laugh at me all you want but starting tonite (if they win tonite it counts) I think they play really close to .500 ball the rest of the way barring major injuries. I'm not talking about 1 or 2 starting lineup players or 1 major starting pitcher; I mean if they get ravaged by injuries you can let me off the hook for ole' times sake.

Now let's suppose the very same guy followed up yesterdays bet with the same, and laid -280 fading Oakland.
He's now down -500 after two days, and needs five consecutive just to break even.

Conversely, if you're tailing Oakland during this six game heater, you're +960

Correct. Last night, at least to my knowledge, was the first time all year more dogs won straight up than favs on an MLB card. Favs have been killing it.
