The races of the other 4 percent weren't disclosed or specified.
I don’t disagree with what you see on TV but these numbers are posted on Washington Examiner, Statista, NFL.com, etc… I think they phrased it wrong. 57.5% black, 71% considered people of “color” which has grey area assigned to it. You can be a multitude of shades and consider yourself a person of color. Either way- what’s the appropriate ratio? That is what we are talking about.

So, is the ratio 1-1 you are suggesting? I think it needs to be a meritocracy and not a number based on some quota. The larger issue in my mind is why do losers keep getting rehired? That seems to be the issue across all major sports. I guess going .500 or only losing 60% of the games is what franchises want.

Frank Reich is the poster child for WTF. He’s awful. He will bury the Panthers further. I think the owner is a delusional clown with money falling out of his pockets.

The decision to hire is judgement but so is choosing between 2 QB’s. They all certainly have credentials/merit to get consideration.
I wouldn’t hire the guy with the generational QB under a proven HC either. How has that worked in the past?

Fair point. The funny part about these stories is this though.

If he's not hired as a HC, he's passed over because he's black. But if he is hired as a HC and fails, then people say "well, yeah, that was obvious, he was just a product of Andy Reid and Mahomes." Just like Josh McDaniels is proving to be. So which is it? If team owners/gms have the forsight to predict that he'll fail (not saying he will, just hypothetically), then why should they be punished for that and be unfairly called "racists?"

In fact, why should they even give anyone for that matter a chance at any position, head coach or not, if they expect them to fail?

                              you are not educated much.

Tiger did not get "hired". He worked his way to being one of the best golfers in history. no hiring necessary.

                              same with michael jordan, etc.

                              not hired - supremely talented.

"old boy" whiteboy network alive and well, which is why The Rooney Rule was created.

now excuse me while i down another glass of $100 wine in my posh home in Southern CA.

Whether it's arrogance, doesn't interview well etc there is something about him or he would have had a shot by now. This has everything to do with bienemy the man and nothing to do with his color.
to be fair, black defensive coaches are hired all the time. denny green is one of the few offensive coaches i remember being hired. the pats had the shittiest assistants get head coaches time and again because of bill. you'd have to be an idiot to assume bienemy hasn't learned anything under reid all these years. to leave for another oc position was dumb. reid doesn't have much left in the tank. he probably would have got one year with mahomes at least after reid. washington is a shit run franchise. i can't imagine this coming up roses.

According to Lesean McCoy and some other ex players, they do not like the way Bienemy interacts with the players.

I recall a Chiefs regular season game the past 2-3 years where Bienemy and Mahomes got into a pretty heated argument on the sidelines about the play calling or lack of trying to run plays going into the half. That type of thing is not uncommon during games but Bienemy has always come off to me as smug and arrogant. He doesn't seem to have people skills or be a leader of men or the type of person you want to give the keys to the franchise.

Should he have had a chance by now? Probably and most certainly given what happened with pederson and Nagy. My read is that this has nothing to do with his skin pigmentation, there is something about him personally, his character, the way he treats people etc.

                                    I'll weigh in with:
*Bieniemy not being a good coach.

                                    1) Mahomes viewed him as more of a distraction.
...Great players don't want encumbrances on their greatness.

                                    2) How many interviews did this guy need?
...Teams wanted to give him the Head job. He didn't present himself well in interviews.

                                    3) He will eventually be a Head Coach.
...Will be looking forward to that day. Chance to fade him.

People do not want to be told what to do especially billionaires! The owners know what the media are saying. The Media will not be happy until the Nba and Nfl is 100% percent African American or people of color as coaches. So the owners are f u will just keep hiring white coaches for spite! i maybe way off but that whats it looks like form the outside!

Tiger did not get "hired". He worked his way to being one of the best golfers in history. no hiring necessary.

                                          same with michael jordan, etc.

                                          not hired - supremely talented.

"old boy" whiteboy network alive and well, which is why The Rooney Rule was created.

now excuse me while i down another glass of $100 wine in my posh home in Southern CA.

go back to your own hole, Redneck.
I have an idea. Drink less $100 glasses of wine, sell the “posh” home in SoCal and buy 1% of a team and fix it.

LeSean McCoy spent the 2019 season in Kansas City, playing for head coach Andy Reid and offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, and McCoy says Reid was the reason for the Chiefs' offensive success.

If he was the genius for the Chiefs passing game, he would have been picked up long ago.
