No. Recent news says the main Mirage tower will remain. The volcano is being destroyed to make room for the guitar-shaped hotel tower.

Well I think they should blow that shit up. It's dated. Build something new and amazing in it's place. No one of high society with a big bank roll will ever stay and gamble at the Mirage again. I know I wouldn't.

Every Hotel and Casino on the strip eventually has an expiration date. Mirage's time is up IMO.. Old school..

Im done with Las Vegas no need to go anymore i only went there for sports betting and now i have that at the tip of my fingers here in Iowa. First they get rid Of the Marina and then Hacienda loved those two places, then i found the Southpoint from 06-2011 it was a hidden gem no one wanted to stay there then that place exploded, then i found the Fiesta Henderson i know it was not fancy but i won there constantly nice little sports book a few cheap Resteraunts now they announce that place is closing. Finding other things to replace Vegas went to flight 93 Memeorial went to Sedona next summer going to Maine.Losing my Fiesta Henderson was the last straw. Edgewater in Laughlin is where i will now go when im out west.

I'm kind of with you, Vegas is nowhere near the same as 10-20 years ago. Not as many deals or +EV opportunities(still some but not nearly as many). Now all the casinos want to become resorts to attract families rather than gambler. I'll still go once in a blue moon but it's a shell of what it once was.
