they can certainly cover, but the ONLY way your Hawkeyes win is IF cade mcnamara the UM QB gets hurt or leaves on concussion protocol very early in the game.

remember when i told you your school was extremely overrated after the cyclones gifted you the win in Des Moines in game 2?

well, if Penn State's starting QB Clifford did not get hurt halfway through that game, you would have had 3 losses this year.

Hawkeye27 ran his mouth early in the season quite a bit when i called them "the worst top 5 ranked team" i have seen since South Florida 2007 (went up to #2 that season).

once purdue punched them in the mouth and body and KO'ed them in Iowa City, he disappeared.

Phil.and the former norm.parker are defense masterminds. Have had their name out there multiple times. Harbaugh almost got canned how many times. Finally won his first big game in how many years??? How is Michigan so bad with all the 4 and 5 star recruits? Iowa gets 2 and 3 stars mixed in with a few 4 and are coached up better than anyone. Just look at how many iowa players are in the nfl today. More than michigan thats for sure. Sure iowa o is nothing to get excited over but that will happen with a young online. Our center is a top 10 draft pick so yet again more nfl players made from nothing. Charlie Jones is electric our special teams is top tier and punter from Australia is money at pinning inside the 10. Not to mention out nfl kicker who hasn't missed all year. Iowa definitely covers an over confident cocky Michigan team

As Toler said, WAY higher academic standards to get into UM than Iowa, whether just a student or a student athlete.

also, WAY more pressure to win at a storied institution like UM than at Iowa, where the fanbase is happy with 10-2 or 9-3 and beating little sister Iowa State. UM has rivals like The Ohio State Univ and Mich State not mention Penn State in their division.

so what that Harbaugh was on the hot seat. Ferentz - great great coach - but would be on the hot seat too at a place like Ann Arbor where the pressure is so high year in and year out.

UM wins comfortably unless Cade gets hurt.

they play ball control and run the ball, play D, shorten the game.

they cannot play a wide open game with the big boys and expect to win.

consider them like a military school running the option (except Iowa just runs) except Iowa is in the Power 5.

pound for pound they get outgunned for the best players in the midwest by:

Michigan
Ohio State
Penn State
Michigan State
Wisconsin

you could argue that many years, Northwestern and Purdue and Minnesota have players just as good as Iowa has.
