If I were Texas Energy officials, i'd fight tooth and nail against regulations to weatherize the areas where Texas gets 90% of their electrical energy. Let's keep the Coal, natural gas, and nuclear energy plants the way they are. We had the once in a lifetime weather to cripple all those sources of energy. Let's double down and best it doesn't happen again the lifetimes of the current leadership ercot.

let the solar, wind, energy do their own thing and continue to be a small part of the outsourced grid. Find a couple areas we can put up some old fashioned water fall and and water wheel hydro electricity and tout this as the bullshit means of "getting greener"

I wonder if the reason people switched that type of plan, is the result of those people that go door to door and ask to see your utility bill and represent themselves like they work for the energy company, but they really are a contractor paid by a different sub supplier.
