I guess I was way off with my total prediction. 75+ seems about right especially with how explosive both Ohio State and Bama's offenses are plus how suspect their defenses have been at times this season. As far as the game goes I think Ohio State is live but I also think that Bama didn't show everything today against ND because they didn't have to. I'd lean Bama but if it's more than 7 I might be inclined to take the points.

Well both defenses are going to be gassed trying to stop the other team's offense, so Bama laying anything around a touchdown is still according them a lot of respect. Tonight's Clemson massacre has a lot to do with this line also. Had the Tide met the Buckeyes in the semis, it's probably closer to Bama -10.

75.5 is too high. Saban knows his defense isnt great and he will throttle it down at times to control the tempo of the game. Plus the championship games usually start very slow.

maybe this was peak Ohio State tonight, ultra motivated for revenge against Clemson. i don't think Saban will be giving them any bulletin board material this week. i wonder how tough it'll be for OSU to get up again in 10 days, whereas Bama merely went thru the motions tonight against ND

agree with Renegades - Saban will want to pound the rock all game and limit OSU's possessions. not only does he hate having to face mobile QB's, but he absolutely loathes the hurry up being run on him and having to defend 80+ plays per game. even ND was able to run 80 plays against him tonight and OSU could theoretically run a whole lot more than that

Yeah agree, and the big difference between Alabama and Clemson is Alabama has a far better offensive line, Clemson replaced four starters on the offensive line
