I think the payroll tax is bigger than that even. As a personal note I hope they continue to give unemployment compensation at these ridickulos levels because I'm collecting almost as much as I was making when working. Well not really, I do need another job before my skills atrophy beyond repair. The dems will want something in return for the tax relief although the tax relief is the exact medicine the economy can use and everybody who draws a paycheck would benefit.

ss is 6.2%... medicare is 1.45%

last time they did this it was a 2% reduction in ss (from 6.2% down to 4.2%) for 1 year

this would suck for me because i already paid myself wages for 2020

Trump's reasoning is that it will force people back to work and reduce unemployment rate. If he keeps giving people checks he thinks they won't go back to work. He has a good point.

Yeah I understand. The only thing I don’t want to see is if they are going to help people I don’t want it to be on hold till a month or two before election. Just straight bribe and it would mean that they think so low of voters and their ability to think that a stimulus will get them to vote the way they want. I’m hopeful people are smarter than this. Vote whatever way you want but don’t let just straight manipulation to decide on who to vote you know?

Both sides decided to make Covid a big deal. The president and the senate are republican led. You think if they didn’t agree with the covid dangers at first that democrats would be able to decide all of this and get it in action. If that’s the case then don’t you think they would be able to get everything they wanted? I don’t see the cares act passing anytime soon. ok so yeah both parties made it a big deal at the beginning but its clear to me ( in my buble lol ) that one side wanted to get the show on the road and ones side wanted everyone to sit at home til 2022 practically

people cant even go to aa meetings , the gym , funerals or family get togethers but one side is ok destroying cities alongside thousands of people. its just always backwards ass thinking from the left. it doesn't surprise anymore and i refuse to turn a "blind eye" on it guy
