No issue at the other AC casinos though, they beg for people to go there basically. If I play blackjack though, I do count (somewhat, not THAT seriously, bet $25/hand, when true count +2 or greater, bet $100, no crazy split 20s or anything though). Tropicana is the quickest to pick up that cute black box phone, that goes straight to security. Seen them twice watch me and then give security a call. That is when you leave immediately. Usually take my chips leave them in car, then go walk around without chips and see if security chases you. Nothing yet, later in day go and get chips cash them in...go to a different casino "less hot" against me.
Why do I do this? If you stay long enough and gain security's attention, they will zoom in on your ID when carded by dealer (I look young so I get carded every table) and then look you up. Had this happen at Golden Nugget. I left Blackjack table, walked away from table and floor manager followed me. Literally walked behind me. Had been there 3 days and up 2k in blackjack, with $100 max no player card. I realized the gig was up, ran and was right. Security guy drove up to me in garage and said "are you 'my name'" I said no, no idea what you're talking about. Drove out FAST. Had 1300 in black chips on me. Luckily got out.
Gave those chips to my dad to cash out, which he did a year later (family owns beach house in NJ). When you are banned, if caught with chips, they take and keep all of those chips. If golden nugget had gotten me, would be out $1300...Comment -

#38I play poker and bet sports too obviously while in AC but I don't know...the thrill of potentially getting caught and outsmarting security is fun...The golden nugget experience, I felt like I was high on adrenaline for days. Not smart obviously but fun.
When I play at Ballys, I make sure to play at tables in the wild west right near the exit. Easiest to run out if necessary. 3/2 BJ and generally lowest limits too, $5 per hand during weekdays. Easy to $5-10 min bet then $75-100 when count good.
Never had an issue at Caesars property though, cannot remember a time where black box was picked up.Comment -

One thing that worries me, the seminole casinos in Florida have amazing poker tournament series. At some point I would like to play in them. Most casino companies, if banned at one property, you are banned at all. MGM, Caesars and El Dorado have this unfortunate policy. I was banned from AC casinos BEFORE Hard Rock bought into AC. My fear is I plan a trip to Hollywood FL and am told I am unable to play there.
However, the Hard Rock casino in AC looks to be owned by a subsidiary of Seminole tribe, not specifically seminole, and players card at Florida tribe casino looks different so I think I will be okay (as of now).Comment -

#44No banned from all AC casinos several years ago for something unrelated. I still go to AC though. Figured I was invincible if I say no players card every time they ask for ID. Golden Nugget saw me too many times, max betting the no players card limit ($100/hand if no card) and had been there for several days. Did not realize they could zoom in on your ID and grab name off ID but I guess the cameras in sky are that good.

Like I said, I don't worry about getting caught so I still travel to AC from time to time. I know the thresholds for when casinos will ask you for ID as well in terms of payouts.
Follow these rules and your name will never be searched in an AC casino system (to check if banned):
1. Always decline to be rated / players card
2. Never color up to $500 / $1000 chips (most casinos won't look up someone for a couple $500 chips but still better safe than sorry), color up to $100 black, they never track these
3. In MD never cash in more than $3000 in one time in chips (they will ask for ID to register your cashout towards the 10k CTR daily total), AC the limit is either $3000 or $4000 (I have heard differing stories but never want to risk it)
4. When sportsbetting, if the payout will be $1000 or more, I have heard william hill will ask for ID. Other books no. In this case, split your bets up to separate tickets so total is under 1k.
5. Always watch for pit boss picking up black boxComment -

#50Banned from MD, PA and NJ casinos. I said this a month or two ago. If you MUST know, girlfriend of a year, thought it would last, did not like how often I gambled / played poker / etc. She said its either me or the gambling and said I would have to self ban myself from the nearby states. So we traveled to my family's beachhouse and I signed myself away from MD, PA, NJ casinos sadly on the trip there. I will never be able to play in the WSOP and that really upsets me. It is one of my biggest regrets.

#54Look it up, its a responsible gambling measure that pretty much every state has in place. You walk into a casino in a state and ask to ban yourself. You're taken to a back office where a lottery/gaming agent works and they interview you / have you sign the paperwork. Generally you choose from 1 year, 5 year or lifetime ban options.Comment -

#56I had other <1 year ones but this was about 1.5 years in. We lived together as well. First long relationship >1 year. I was 21 and going to casino every week. I will admit the MD ban was okay since I was always there playing poker at MD Live casino but definitely should not have done the other states and definitely not lifetime.Comment -

I initially tell people I flipped a table in poker so that they won't laugh at how pathetic my self ban is...home game players near me ask me if I want to go to MGM with them often.

#59Dated sophomore and junior year officially, met freshman year in April, she was a partier / druggie and we smoked n all together. Her family cut her off, refused to pay for her so she lived with me during my sophomore year. She was on file a commuter student but lived on campus with me. My roommate was a virgin who never got any attention from women so he kind of enjoyed her presence. My ex helped him get a date at one point too.Comment -
