My old phone had the old 2 factor Google authentication.

When I try on my new phone the codes won't work for coinbase

My old phone was broken so was never able to transfer anything to my new phone.

Now when I log into coinbase I can't pass the 2 step verify

I can't add coinbase to my authentication because I don't have a barcode or a key.

Where do I get the barcode or key to enter manually

do whatever you can to power up the old phone as long as you can get into account you can reset by cancel and add new otherwise you need to contact coinbase support

Im a bitcoin dummy but even I have my security key wrote down! (that is the string of like 10 random words correct?).. Finding it might be another matter, lol.

You don't need your old phone.

The article explains how to log into your google account on a computer to get the barcode you need.

for future i reccomend the app AUTHY can transfer to and add devices with a password perfect for this situation

So this i making me think if i have a 12 word phrase like i do for a couple of wallets? When i signed up at coinbase did i get one from them? i have authy with coinbase on it. Eventually im sure i'll have to get a new phone so do i need this 12 word phrase that i cannot seem to find for coinbase?

Ok, i have the coinbase app but never used a coinbase wallet. So i guess thats why i never had a phrase. I use other wallets so i guess i'm good.
