I don’t particularly like replay in any sport besides tennis. Gotta give it to the tennis ppl, they actually got it right!!l mlb should take notes and call balls and strikes the same way!!

I'd be all for scrapping VAR I can't stand it either. Some of the penalties that get given out of it are so soft.
I like the English Premiere League (I'm sure others use it just the one I noticed) with the goal line technology, ball crosses the line and the refs watch goes off. No need for VAR and gets rid of those Lampard examples above. Was huge in the last few league games for Man City, I think against Stoke Ageuro got one given that just crossed the line, could of cost them the league without it.
Offside goals/no goals are part of the game imo. Unfortunately diving penalties are now as well at least it's got rid of them but I'd still rather no VAR just goal line technology.
Plus I tend to be an unders bettor and VAR is just brutal for that! So many penalties now the World Cup was really bad for them, I gave up unders very quickly!

You might be right as tennis is a good example where it's good imo. Cricket uses it well also and both those sports the ball is traveling at very high speeds (90mph+) like that other sport you mentioned! Personally I like the variance in strike zones betweeen umps though.

Far as capping I like the variance w umps, think it gives me a bit of a edge at times. When watching it pretty annoying we can clearly see what a ball and strike is and they totally botch it up, some of them are freaking inexcusable.
Then after watching ump get one strike/ball after another wrong you see a play at second, it goes to replay and guy safe but then in super freeze frame slow-mo we see a guys hand pop 2cm off the base for a split second and gets called out (that why we now see guys holding tags for seconds after the play!), imo that just redic and totally goes against the spirit of the rules. Use it to fix terrible obvious mistakes like the year kid lost a no hitter when guy was obviously out at 1st, don’t use it for bogus crap.
Nfl is gonna be even more unbearable than it already is if/when they start challenging pass interference. Everytime a team gets jobbed they and their pussy fans bitch and moan until nfl caves and fukks more and more shit up. Ppl just need to chill the fukk out and understand you gonna get bad breaks from time to time, that fukkin life, it about overcoming such things!! Not throwing a fit and changing things anytime it happens trying to perfect a imperfect world. It is maddening!!
Challenging things that are judgement and slowing them down to frame by frame is stupid and only creates more confusion and opportunity for officials to dictate outcomes any way they see fit!!! I’d rather scrap it all than use it more than they already do!!! Better yet use it as it was intended and only to fix blatant obvious errors, not putting every little thing under a microscope!!

They’re getting too technical with the replay system in sports. I think some things need to be judgment calls and just replay scores. In terms of soccer, did a ball cross the line. Even handballs. But offsides and tripping fouls are creating only more issues. And the NFL is going to have the same problem with these interference replays.

It's going to be worse with NFL. In soccer - at least in theory - play goes on while the invisible VAR people review an incident and play can be stopped to allow the referee to watch tape 30 seconds or a minute after the incident. So play GOES ON. No interruption.
In the NFL, any call pauses the action and creates an even longer game, regardless of the outcome. Just the nature of the beast.

Nfl already has a problem, pass interference being challengeable is a fukkin nightmare!! Can’t believe these morons are caving cause of one damn play and bunch of cry babies, can’t wait till next year challenging pi cost saints a game!! Serves them right!
What next, we see a blatant holding not get called and they throw a flag after any big play hoping to get a hold?? Beyond stupid.

yea its pretty insane to challenge pass interference since its just an opinion. you should only be able to challenge things that can be proven factually correct. they should just get rid of pass interference penalties altogether and let men fight to catch the ball.

I like that, within reason. Obviously don’t want them getting tackled while ball in the air.. slowing that shit down to frame by frame is retarded. By letter of their increasingly stupid rules you could call it anytime they feel like it. Game wasn’t meant to be officiated in that way! Again it replay destroying the spirit of a rule. Better believe anytime a crucial 3rd down late isn’t converted they gonna be looking to change outcomes!

well there would still be holding so you couldnt tackle someone, but you could still check them to the ground while the ball was in the air.

VAR is fine in theory... BUT let's just do one main angle at full speed. none of this 4 minutes of checking every conceivable angle numerous times in super-slo-mo.
and it just seems to me that almost all controversial actions seem to benefit the larger and/or more powerful nation.... i believe that has been proven at olympics (add in top individual performers get great benefit as well). gymnast from morocco the olympics could care less about treating them fairly.

on the saints PI, i can't believe that referee looked at what TV viewers looked at and called it non-PI. i'm guessing the ref got view blocked or distracted by some movement.
that one was so obvious and could have been fixed in 5 seconds.. let's have lots of VAR but let's tighten up the standards. i.e. clear mistake.
