Every year WTA draw is so much more wide open than ATP with their big 3, but this year could take the cake. With 20 players still alive (this will be trimmed down to 16 by the end of Saturday - that's the plan anyway), more than 50% represent 'THE FIELD' as defined by SBR Sportsbook. Yes, betting on the "field" was likely a good bet. That said, even if nearly all the favorites are out, all it takes is for one of them to still come through and thereby still make the field bet lose! So we'll see.

Pretty crazy how all the top seeds almost have lost in the women's while in the men's nearly every match the higher seed/favorite is winning!

I was more surprised that Vekic got mauled. Sevastova can't measure up physically to half the remaining players. She would have a shot against Halep but not Vondrousova or someone like Anisimova who's on her game.

Konta vs Vekic looked like a classic. But the Brit kept her shit together, and that in itself gives a huge edge in many WTA matches. Sneaky good.

It seems there are thirteen people who picked Barty to make Final Four, two of whom picked her to win it all.

I believe she is the only entrant that anyone has left in their bracket, the other three women in the Final Four, I don't think a single person has any of them so Barty is the only one who can affect the standings at this point. Pretty crazy stuff - as shari mentioned earlier don't think I've ever seen it be this insane! And in contrast the men's has been one of the most consistent I've seen in terms of favorites winning.

Betting is ok. It's like having a red bull or three. Betting and WATCHING is what's bad for your body, say a shot and a small bag of powder. I avoid the latter these days.
