This race seems to come up with surprises every year. Weird twisty inner city Baku street track.

If Verstappen and Gasley are similar odds for fastest lap when that market comes out, I am going to take that.

Leaning Leclerc as race winner. He was special here on debut last year in the Sauber, picking up a top 6. Probably a race that helped seal the Ferrari drive for him.

I'm killing it in F1 actually. Hit 2 out of 3 fastest laps and 2 out of 3 race winners so far this season. And ahead on NASCAR and Indycar too. MotoGP is only series I have bet and not ahead on so far.

Also still ahead for the year on A-League by a couple of hundred.

It comes out at 16% because you aren't including all 20 drivers in the market.

It will come out in the 20% to 30% range at most books.

But there is so much opinion in motor racing markets it only takes a handful of books to effectively halve that rate.

If you compare that to golf futures, or tennis tourney futures I think you will find motorsport suddenly appears quite sharp compared apples for apples with similar style markets.

He's my early lean for both the race and fast lap.

But with top 4 all similar odds, I think I will take the risk and wait until Saturday to bet him.

Hoping Mercedes come out with a strong first practice and send markets going their way over night.




Leclerc took the Sauber to 6th last year, so if the car is good enough on this track to do that, you'd have to think Kimi is a great chance at top 10 in it this year.

And if he can be a top 10 finisher he has a shot at fastest lap too. He may need late tires like Gasley did last race to nab it, but if he is in the top 10 he has a shot at it. And should be 100-1 plus for kimi fastest lap at a guess.
