One thing being in crypto has taught me is how powerful greed and the fear of missing out can truly be. People with no business touching crypto going to slaughter thinking they were going to get rich quick.

My take on this is that the price drop was precipitated by big institutional investors who dropped a $500 million dollar bomb on the market in the form of going short on BTC futures. They want to suppress the price so they can initiate positions at a deep discount once this Van Eck ETF gains approval.

Then que the panic selling, the noise from the BCH fork, and the shills changing their sentiment and you have some great catalysts to engineer the big drop we have witnessed.

i think most of us would just like to see a stable bitcoin price and quick transfer times/confirmations... other than that it really doesn't matter to me whether btc trades at $3 or $300,000

I did read that nasdaq is going to start listing bitcoin futures. Normally a futures listing will add volatility to the commodity price. In this case it may actually help to stabilize the price a bit.

That was its strongest 24hr bounce since July .. market cap increased 11b .. pretty good sign. Idk if reversal of down trend in yet but that’s a promising bounce.
