As of today we have added a different way to help continue with supporting BIGDAY and his Family.
We have now added Bigday's gofundme as a way for non-pros to go Pro with $100 donation, also valid for renewing pro members.

Hey Sam, Will this be ok for non-US renewal? My renewal is up and I have the sportsbook accounts listed. It looks like Skrill is no longer an option as well.

Hey fellow SBR posters and BigDay friends, take a few minutes and write him a letter or send a card. I know his therapy is very trying to say the least. Any words of encouragement he receives will help! It’s a long battle he has and he is doing better, but I’m sure there are days when it’s tough as F for him. Keep fighting BigDay! Can’t wait to see you back home and down the street with your family! #TeamAndy

Rollie you’re a good guy. Its easy to be around when things are good but true friends reveal themselves when they stick around during times like these. I honestly can’t imagine a tougher battle for anyone to go through and my heart goes out to Andy and his entire family.
Thanks for your post, I think it brings ip an important point, he’s at that point now where psycholically it becomes extremely difficult. Reality sets in that this is gonna be a really long battle and money doesn’t change that, donations are nice but they won’t address his that aspect.
Boys, everyone stepped up when it came to donations, we can do this again. Write those letters, draw a picture of a penis and mail it, anything to help him pass time...
Thx again Rollie, and Booya. I know both of you have gone above and beyond

I have only met Andy and Mindy a couple of times at the SBR bashes, they always struck me as vibrant and full of life. While I am not a religious person, I have a huge amount of respect for them keeping their attitude positive and fighting together, whatever drives them. Keep these guys in your thoughts/prayers and donate as you can.
Journal entry by Mindy McBride — 1 hour ago HOPE
I hope for the best, I pray for strength, I look back and see the gains and I cheer on the man that is struggling with the reality that he is living in as he wonders about what life will look like, if he will make a full recovery. Today as I sat next to Andy I reminded him about my saying... Choose Your Attitude. I told him I am even sharing it with my staff in my weekly news after someone had emailed me and said they read something and it reminded them of me (see below). I also shared the reading with Andy.
Andy is making gains and we found out that not all of his muscles are triggering like we thought, we learned that is left shoulder is nearly falling out (dislocating) due to the lack of muscles. We have heard hard news that Andy won't be transitioning home next, he will go to a transitional care unit. Yes, the news is challenging well Andy stated depressing until I gave him the replacement word, challenging. AND we get to choose our attitude, we get to show up how we want and with a positive attitude come positive gains. Andy used his core strength to move himself in bed the other day! Andy is driving a power wheel chair better than most who have been in them for years! Andy is relentless in his therapies and gets the most out of every single hour! Andy is eating real food, although it is pureed like baby food, it is real food!
We are so thankful for our prayer warriors, for those who are looking out for us, helping us out and just calling to check in. Andy and I are so lucky to have wonderful moms who have stepped in without hesitation. I can't express enough how thankful and lucky we are to have you all in our lives. Today I was at church and noticed our supporters wearing #TeamAndy bracelets, I received a Facebook post of distant relatives in Georgia sporting #TeamAndy shirts, I think they were our Vikings good luck charms. Again, thank you for your words of encouragement and kind gestures. We adore each and everyone of you!
With gratitude,
Mindy
ATTITUDEbyCharles Swindoll
"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think, say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play the one string we have, and that is our attitude... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes”

Trying to stay hopeful, not think the worst and keep expecting a full recovery is tough enough from this far away.
Can't imagine what it's like for them either.

Hey guys! I am sitting here with BigDay and sharing many of your messages and wishes. We are so thankful for all of you! Andy continues to fight hard and is making gains although the road is very long. The doctors are hopeful that he will make a full recovery and are also being very realistic with him. Andy is currently attending 4-5 hours of therapy a day and utilizing a power wheelchair in his current facility. We will be moving the day after Thanksgiving to another facility and ordering a power chair for him until he can walk again, the doctors hope that he will be walking within the next year. I was truly hoping he would be home for Thanksgiving and/or Christmas, due to the lack of muscles and nerves that are working he will not be ready to return home with us, YET. Thanks for the prayers and everything you all have done! #TeamAndy
Also, I have bracelets and shirts still available if anyone is interested

Journal entry by Mindy McBride — 14 hours ago This week we celebrate the little things. Andy was able to use a machine/device to help him feed himself. The device helps remove the weight off of his shoulders and he then can activate his arm/muscles at the elbow (see below). It was a lot of work AND he was able to scoop some food and feed himself five bites!
Molly, Andy's little sister had the opportunity to meet Chad Greenway and he signed Andy's jersey and sported his very own #TeamAndy bracelet. Spreading awareness is key! Also after nearly 3 months Andy allowed someone to touch his hair! Well needless to say the aide nor I have a beauty license and the medical tape scissors don't cut all that well... his hair is shorter!
This week I took the opportunity to tour five transitional care units/facilities (TCU/ TCR) and I found some that could work. I begin to ask myself if he will be ready in two weeks to transition. Andy has made great gains in two weeks and a lot can happen in another two (choosing my attitude). Andy and I fear having less therapy and still continuing to make gains. As many of you know most people in TCUs are there for a broken hip or a knee replacement, Andy's needs are much more complex. I want to make sure his needs are getting met and I will continue to advocate for what is best for him.
At our care conference on Wednesday they moved the transition date from the 16th to after Thanksgiving (Friday or Saturday). Knowing that he won't be home for Thanksgiving has been another challenge that lies in my heart. His current date for making the transition to a TCU also aligns with the 3 month mark that he left our home for Vegas. As you can imagine the emotions are high as we look ahead at the journey without an unknown outcome. During the care conference we discussed how this could be a year until he walks again, getting him fitted for a wheelchair and modifying our home. I am beginning to gain resources as we make decisions and if you have any great information, please reach out!
#TeamAndy, thank you for all you do! We are lucky to call you friends.
Be Blessed,
Mindy
