That's what a good lawyer and millions of dollars does for you. Plus there was public outcry over the Vick dog fighting....not much outcry over this.

Plus the family probably asked the judge for leniency after Stallworth and the family reached a undisclosed financial settlement of millions I'm sure

Vick's acts were pre-meditated. Stallworth's wasn't. Altho I think the public outcry about drinking and driving should be more. Especially when drinking and driving is equivalent to walking into a club with a loaded weapon......and shooting yourself in the leg!

No the difference is Stallworth can pay of the family millions of dollars and they don't fight it cause they get that money.

In addition to the 30 days, he's also serving two years house arrest, eight years probation, and lost his driving privileges for life. He also forked over at least $1,000,000 to the victims family, undetermined amount of future earnings, and has to live with what happened the rest of his life.

All in all, I don't really think it's fair to say he got off "easy", and let's not forget the victim played a part in this by carelessly walking across a street where there wasn't a crosswalk.

Crazy this is a joke for the fact that anyone else would be doing min. 2 years in the Pen for this, jail is not the pen it is not a hard place to spend a month in. In va people are getting 10-15 yrs hard time for dui manslaughter

Right, but I think by allowing this plea deal to go through the prosecution is basically conceding that it was not Stallworth's impairment that caused this accident. I.e. Had any car been doing the speed limit, and a pedestrian decides to not look both ways before crossing on what isn't even an actual cross walk, they would've also struck him just the same.

You guys are a little misinformed. The guy stallworth killed was jaywalking so technically it was his fault. Stallworth admitted he had been drinking he wasnt caught at the scene and according to a report he was barely over the limit around a 1.1 or something. Not only did Vick allow dogs to kill each other he slaughter all the rest that got injuried. Both of them are terrible but I would say vicks is worse

It doesn't work that way. I have a friend who was drunk and has a trial coming up. He got into an accident killing another friend in the car. The other car was completely at fault and didn't even get a summons.
