He's smarter than Goodell but that's like saying he's smarter than a rock.

The new tanking rule is pointless. They passed it just to make it look like they were trying to fix it. In reality it won't change a damn thing and probably just makes things worse.

I didn't mention the tanking rule. See my comparison between the two commissioners is that silver started off being nice with the players but he is now realizing that they are taking advantage of him so he quickly fixed some things. On the other side goodell started off being a dick and now he got out into a corner and had no choice but to pretend he likes the players.

I think we need to watch him closely. The best thing that ever could have happened to him was the Donald sterling scandal. Some of his moves have been suspicious.

Let's not forget the salary cap mess that occurred last summer that pretty much ruined the competitive balance in this league.

Yes I agree. He is going to become a commissioner now. Owners are really upset with him that the warriors hijacked the league for a few years.

I think him being nice is because he's looking for a contract extension. No different then a player busting his ass on his contract year to get paid and then go back to sucking.

They trimmed down the number of back to backs but were still going to see players resting. That's not going to stop.

I don't like players resting but that's down on my list of concerns. The bigger and faster these players get, the faster the game gets and it just adds more stress to the body. I think the whole resting thing is a legitimate method to counteract the wear and tear.

yea in the NBA they wear I cant breathe shirts, had numerous performers sing the anthem in black lives matter shirts. Didn't matter since in general no one watches NBA until the playoffs with exception of gamblers

Why would silver have to go? They won't kneel. James is in charge and he already said he won't kneel. NBA players aren't going to kneel and if they do they will be punished. See your attitude is the throwback blacks give when something is thrown their way. It's like" we black and you can't tell us what to do because we used to be slaves". Either way silver came out and of the issue unlike Goodell.
