Heh, there's no single answer to that. If you mean what's the 2nd BIGGEST crypto coin, that's Ethereum (ETH), a coin whose favorite buzz words are "smart contract." If you're interested, here's the market caps of all 700+ alt coins: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/views/all/
As to what has the largest profit potential, I can actually answer that: it's whichever of the small coins manage to get themselves listed on the alt coin stock exchange Poloniex. When a coin gets confirmed for listing on Polo, its value jumps by an average of 130 times (as in + 13,000%), basically overnight.
But unless you can get your hands on that inside information -- btw, a perfectly legal thing to do in crypto, if you can manage it -- then everyone has their own opinion as to which coin's got the best profit potential.
My own largest position is in the hyper anonymous coin Monero (XMR). I like its small float, perfect anonymity, and large toe hold and increasing usage in the 3rd world. SBR's favorite alt-coin seems to be LiteCoin (LTC).
But honestly, your guess is as good as anyone else's.

Great post but Etheruem is ETH and Ethereum Classic is ETC. It split shortly after the DAO hack.

What does it mean in simple English?
What is the abbreviation of DAO and who hacked it and how? Was it hackers?
How can ETH get split?
Whenever I go to Bitcoin forums I'm really puzzled with the terminology being used there (I hope people know what "terminology" means in English)....

They've been working on Tezos since 2014. Hopefully it's not a pump and dump. Since they've been working on it so long it leads me to believe that it's legit. My thoughts are to buy and hold a couple of years.

Arie, my bad, don't let my typo throw you.
Coins very rarely do split, called a hard fork, which happened to Ethereum last year, but totally don't worry about it.
I'm pretty sure what you're looking for is an ewallet that's flexible enough that you can buy and sell bitcoin, or maybe ethereum, or, who knows, maybe later, some other stuff, too. But basically ya wallet you can move your current bitcoin to for storage that gives you the option to buy more bitcoin or sell your current bitcoin for dollars, but also a wallet with the flexibility so you can do those same things with ethereum. Finally, I'm guessing you'd want that wallet to be able to send coins to and from sportsbooks and/or to yourself in dollars -- am I close?
If yes, I actually wrote a post outlining 3 wallet options earlier today. Bitfinex.com is both an ewallet and a coin stock market exchange, so I think it might be just what you're looking for: https://www.sportsbookreview.com/for...l#post26982893
Oh, and don't let the tech stuff throw you. Ask any question -- anything at all, there's no such thing as a dumb question -- and Raiders and I will do our level best to explain it as plainly as possible. As for any questions you have that we don't know the answers to, well, we'll go research that together; that way we all get a little smarter.
Thanks for that.
I found myetherwallet.com where you just type your password and then you get your wallet file to download to store ETH - is it safe?
Do you realize 2-3 weeks ago ETH was $90 and now it's $205?
Are we heading for 1 BTC to be worth $100,000 and ETH = $50,000 in 5-6 years?!

That wallet is confirmed safe, but here's the thing: it's an offline wallet.
Now, I've never used an offline wallet, so take my words with a grain of salt, but my understanding of how they work is you'll download your wallet to your device (phone or computer or w/e), then buy and deposit your ethereum into the wallet, so the ethereum will actually be stored in your device, not on a 3rd party's server, the way most wallets work.
This has one big advantage: since it's not stored on a 3rd party's server, it's not vulnerable to that party getting hacked. (If Blockchain.info or Bitfinex or some other big online wallet provider gets hacked, we'll all have massive headaches; you'd be laughing).
But it also has one big disadvantage: If you lose or destroy that device, or lose your passwords and backup passphrase, then I think you're totally screwed. At least when an online wallet gets hacked, they have to make good to their clients, even if, as in the Bitfinex hack from last year, it takes them a few months to get everybody their money back.
I can think of a couple smaller disadvantages, too: 1. It's only a wallet, a place to store ETH; if you want to actually sell your ETH for dollars or for bitcoin or for whatever, you'd still have to move it to an exchange. If you open a wallet at Bitfinex or Poloniex, you'll have the option to sell or convert to another currency, 24/7. 2. If you're sure you want to hold ETH for a while, then you might as well make some interest, even if it's really low interest, on your holdings. You can do that by borrowing your shares out to short sellers at Bitfinex or Poloniex.
Heh, on the pricing question, that would Rock!

If it gets there, imagine what it would cost to send say 25 dollars worth of bitcoins to someone then?
The higher the price gets the less sense it makes to use BTC to pay for something small...which I thought was the original purpose of this currency.

Thanks for the explanation MeanPeopleSuck!
I bought 7.126Ethereum today and going to leave it like that for 5-6 years, like a fixed deposit or savings account, let's see what the yield (%) would be 5-6 years from now, I know if I keep it in USD it would sink so badly and I'm not interested in keeping all eggs in 1 basket.
So let's see, good luck!

some forumville folks been saying that for years even when btc was selling in the double digits ... of course 'it' wont last forever but people drown when they try and swim against the tide
some of those naysayers are on board now... the others have disappeared but will pop-up again during the correction or crash

Gold was a bubble, hitting $2,000 and then falling but Gold had no value, it is controlled by governments and has no real substance ... those cryptocoins are a different playground - the hard evidence is that there are so many created now .... Ethereum and Bitcoin are just a few examples, Lightcoin is another - go to Changer.com and see how many cryptocoins are available for immediate exchange.
Gold is not listed there for a reason but I honestly don't believe this is a bubble - on the contrary, the US dollar is complete c**p .... I know it because I see how our currency, the Israeli Shekel, is becoming the strongest currency in the world, and yet it has no chance against Bitcoin that goes up in such a huge pace against the US Dollar and that's for a reason - investors, companies - want return, want to have their funds free of regulation ... Gold couldn't provide it so the bubble got burst ... this time it's extremely different - governments hate it because it's such a good alternative to their currencies.
How would things develop? I don't know ... but people are buying BTC or Ethereum for a reason, it doesn't go up in value by itself.

Are you noticing the same pattern the last couple of days? When it's morning in Asia, the BTC price starts a wild ride up.

I think that transfers will be made in mBTC rather than BTC to make it easier on us.

Most wallets now charge the same flat fee (in btc), that they were charging a year ago.
Do you have the info that it's going to change or you're just saying that it's a possibility?
