What you are saying can still be true in the presence of white privilege.

White privilege does not mean everything comes easy to all white people, it doesn't imply that all white people will become successful, what it means is that being white provides you with privileges and opportunities not afforded to non-whites in similar situations

Being white means you are more likely to get a job, being white means you are more likely to make more money

In fact, white privilege is exactly what you're describing yourself to be. It is a bit ironic

I really like black people though, I spent alot of time in Jamaica over the years and get along well as a white man.. I'll say the brothers with the dreads are the most peaceful and the short haired or bald headed ones cause most of the trouble and crimes over on the island..

I dated a black girl for 5 years. Very dark skinned.. One of the loves of my life.. Just a great person..

I know many, many black women and men that are nurses and doctors, they made it, against all odds. Thats white privilege.
