You will not be disappointed HOWEVER I will probably be seeing it again in the theater mainly because the fight scenes are shot differently than any other boxing movie and I want to see it on the big screen again.

Me too that's why I was like I'll catch it on HBO ...must be good to get a 93% it's hard to get higher than that always at least 7% haters/ snobby critics on RT.

Well we all know the porno was his finest work and will never be topped.

But for real, he's great in this. I think it's better that he handed the writing and directing to an up and comer, the guy who did Fruitvale Station if any of you have seen that, he did this. And I think it actually benefitted Sly so he could just focus on the character and nothing else. We all forget that despite becoming a punchline he was nominated for Best Actor for Rocky so dude has chops hidden down in there.

Michael B Jordan is good too. He's gonna be the next Denzel

I'm thinking about telling my boss I need to take a long lunch to pick up my grandmother from the airport so I can catch it again during the day too. I actually saw Rocky 6 at noon the day it came out, planned a mandatory week of vacation around opening day just so I could do that

I have a small beef...I saw in the trailer where Creed Jr said that his dad died before he was born!!...see at @00:24 for reference!...

...but that's bullshit!...Creed Jr and his sister were about 4 or 5 years old in "Rocky II"!...they were both alive and so was Apollo!...Apollo didn't die until Rocky IV and his kids would have been around 10 years of age or in their early teens...I guess this was a snafu on the producers and directors part unless I'm mistaken.

Man I had to watch the first couple of those movies with said daughter. Along with many other trendy dystopian movies based on young adult fiction. God it's the worst and I'm always so excited when she's already seen that kind of shit with her mother

Well manster, two things. One, I totally, totally, completely dig your Rocky trivia knowledge, and this bugged me too at first. Second, you're gonna make me give a little something away. And that is, he is Creed's illegitimate son from an affair he had right before he died. And that is all dealt with very well in the film.

So, I hope that makes you feel a little better and more open to seeing it.
