Free agency in sports is about speculation. Very few would've speculated that he'd become the very worst pitcher on the Tigers just a couple years into his deal. This happens in every sport. Tigers benefited from the epic f\*\*k up that is the Marlins organization. This is the problem with giving huge money to any pitcher. They lose it so quickly. In the first instance it's tough to know who's going to pan out and then they get injured left and right and then when you think you've locked up an ace they lose their stuff. Building a powerhouse lineup and then staying agile to develop and acquire pitching is the way to go.Comment -
