when you say you're a gambler, they right away think that you are one of those casino addicted guys who will be broke one day..
Dead on accurate. I have given up a long time ago telling anyone about gambling. No matter how hard you try, or even if it a family member, it does not work to discuss it. Kinda sucks but this the reality. The other day, I was talking sports with someone and the guy asked me if I gamble and I said NO. Even if he gambles he still is is not likely to get it. I have given up.

I like that comment. On a side note, I was wearing my SBR shirt last week in Laughlin. An old guy asked me what the lettering meant. I told him it's a website that rates sportsbooks. He said "wow that must be nice. If you give me your book I'll read it."

There are no lesser people in society if you bet sports or go to the racetrack. Nicky is right as everyone looks down on you if you do these things. The best advice i would give is never ever tell people in your family or daily life that you gamble as you will be looked at very badly.

That is not an accurate statement, since reduced juice isn't really found in Vegas and yet there are probably a few professionals living in Vegas...
Can't really say it is a dream of mine but may give it a shot some day once if I get good at this game and have a nice bankroll. Has been my only source to pay bills/rent over the last few months since being laid off...probably going to wait a while before even making the jump to $100/unit.

What i mean is taking not the best line available...when i look at JJs spreadsheets, he just bets -110 when he doesn´t have to.
This is different from beating a line move, when i take -110 but get a good number it is obviously OK...but iam sure you know what i mean pal.
