what are some of your points for backing STL tomorrow? i see the value being in LA. STL 0-4 vs LHP. STL .219 hitting average vs LHP. STL 2-6 in LA. STL lost at -160 in Lynn last start. LA is coming into this game after cashing a blowout dog win. imo line movement so far favors LA, and LA only being at around +110 against a 6-1 pitcher makes me believe books are favoring LA as well.

St. Louis is 16-5 in their last 21 games
St. Louis is 16-8 on the road
St. Louis, tomorrow's lineup at least, traditionally hits lefties just fine
Lynn has pitched well against LA and is coming off of his poorest start of the season and I believe this will be a bounce back game for him
Capuano gives up a ton of runs to St. louis (6.58 ERA in last 10 starts vs St Loo)
Capuano is coming off of 2 quality starts in a row.....and he sucks....also he is on 6 days rest instead of 5 and he had a leg issue after his last start
The Dodgers are playing eratic ball at home and are still underperforming

Until I see a marked imporvement from the Dodgers I am willing to award their opponents added value. Also, this is still just a 2 unit play...it may look like a bigger play, but that is only because the last few days I have been avoiding any large plays except in ++++games.

those are all valid points and i appreciate the response. still on the fence on this one tho. for some reason i see this one going like STL's last series, where they lose the the first one as the fav. then win the next 2. i guess the main point we disagree on is you see Lynn bouncing back and i dont. however i think STL does have the advantage in the bullpen. decisions decisions. im gonna need more time with this one before i lock anything in. GL with your pick tho.

No worries...that's the best thing about handicapping sports....there is always an equal arguement for either side. Now, you just need to get on the right side and you will be alright!

I assume your POD will involve the penguins?

I also circled ATL and Pitt for tonight.

ATL v. NYM (Medlen-Hefner)

The initial juice is too high to play so I would play it at -1 (-135).

Braves are running hot, 7-3, and have Medlen going tonight. While Medlen doesn't get great run support he still pitches terrificly and has had recent good outings. The braves should at some point SHOULD give him more runs. The Mets, 3-7, meanwhile have Hefner going and he looks good to give up 4/5 runs a game.

Pitt v. MIL (Burnett-Estrada)

Even money on a better team with a better pitcher going against a weaker team with a weaker pitcher. I like the pitching matchup and I like the pirates at the moment. I do think Pittsburgh isn't this good and Milwaulke isn't this bad, though.

What made you pass on these games?

And mentioned that Andujar had a huge break down 5-3, and could he force a tiebreak, but mid-sentence he lost the set.

Edit: Sorry saw you had Nieminen at 3, guess you'll take the tie on that one after losing the second set... I'm quite happy DSI was offering -2.5 -120 instead

Well, we are 4/5 of the way done our day in the ATP and we are sitting at 2-1-1. A little upset because I switched at the last minute from Nieminin -2.5 to Nieminen -3 to get a better $ line. Of course, even at the time I thought 'this could come back to haunt me'...lol. At least we got the push there.

Andujar is now behind after losing his first set 7-5, where they were tied at 5-5....if he takes it to 6-6, even if he loses there we are set up to take the win with a 6-4 loss in the 2nd set. Now we are left hoping he wins the 2nd set or takes it to a tie break, which is unlikely given the number of breaks so far. If Andujar can pull it off it will be a great start to the day, and if he can't then we will be down the juice from our two losses....

So, Go ANDUJAR!

Great picks on the tennis ml's... I've never bet tennis before in my life until today.. Decided to tail.. Three 1 unit on the early match in Nice n then I noticed u posted the other play at 168 or so n by time I checked it was at -208 so I figured that line movement indicated I could hammer the play a little extra... Was that a correct thought process? Also I'm gonna start tailin n the ATP plays.. My question is my local only offers money lines.. Is it safe for me to tail only your money line plays? Sorry for the noobish questions n the wall of text I'm on my phone so that's why... Thanks and good work today brotha

I had the option....didn't want to pay the -125.....my bad, but I really thought we were in for a 6-3, 6-2 victory of some sort here. Sijsling, even with the crowd on his side, got in deeper than he ever expected, and for Jarko this is a much needed deep run and a good pay day.

I would say it is safe to play my ML bets, but one caution, when I am betting a dog at +4 games for 2 units and then the ML at 1 unit, I generally do that because I feel great about the +games so I am willling to take a shot at the ML. Because you do not have that option please just be a little bit cautious.

Wow....Andujar up 4-3 and up a BREAK, gets broken twice in a row to lose 6-4....he should be embarrassed. Frankly, that is just gross. He should close that set out at 4-3 and up a break 9 times out of 10, and AT WORST he should get to a tiebreak.

2-2-1 for -$40

Could have been SOOO much better as Andujar lost by .5 about the sickest way possible and Jarko pushedon us (some of you got that win). If Andujar wins there it becomes at + $190.....meh.

IMO regulation is the ONLY play here. -230 on the ML is not a play I would ever take in the playoffs....just way too much juice. to gain +87 points on your money just by saying 'no OT' is great value and this bet is the only one (aside from the under 5.5) that I see value in on the board.

But what is your reasoning about the under here? EVERYTHING is screaming at me that Pittsburgh wins this by multiple goals. Though I'm not sure Ottawa will score at all.
