Coop did not fair very well at the $2 to $6 spread game. So I paid him the $30 I owed him at the table. I cashed out for $348. This is not a joke, I never won a hand with a straight or a flush , I was flopping trips like nobody's business. The best part was I always had collars . Very loose table . Turning $30 into $348 feels pretty good and it takes a load off my mind... Now I know I will be fine until I leave on Thursday night. Sadly, I lost $40 playing Free Bet Blackjack, won one hand out of 14.
Then lost $9 playing craps.
After tipping out $15-$17 for drinks last Night, we are siting at $275!

Jay, a few comments:
1) Free Bet Blackjack is bad. House Edge is too hi. Wouldn't recommend it.
2) Drink tickets from the Sportsbook are still one of the great perks in Vegas. Think about how much u have to risk to get Drink tickets. Not too much really. If u find the right clerk, they'll be generous giving out 3 or 4 tix. Vig on sports is relatively low, and it can be +EV when u think about how much $$ you're saving b/c of Drink Tix.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -
Between Coop and I we have bet 13 races and we have lost four. For a total of $40 in losses, compared against 9 wins at approximately $0.50 to a dollar each we are only down $7 because one of the favorites somehow paid $8 to show, on the $10 bet. So 13 drinks have cost us $3.50 each. I know that Free Bet Blackjack is a huge house Edge game but, it is for Action Junkies and that must be why I like it. I will be staying away from that game for the rest of the trip Chucky, don't worryComment -

So, technically we didn't stick to the zero bankroll rule. We had to borrow $30 from coop in order to start this big run. Hitting the initial freeplays and match plays was a lot more crucial than I anticipated. But it still feels pretty good to borrow $30, pay it back immediately and be sitting on $457 going in to the final day tomorrow. I figure if I lose every penny, I am no further behind than when I landed at McCarran. So we are going to put the entire $457 into play tomorrow, any suggestions are welcomed, as I don't really give a shit what happens. I'd like to fly back to Canada with $4,000 but, if I don't I don't. Even though it was rather depressing to gamble such a small bankroll and nearly lose all of it.... it's still the greatest place in the world, where anybody can hit big with any size bankroll.
We almost proved that this time.
It was really good to see Las Vegas Herbie and one under, they have become Staples on my Vegas trips and are probably two of the nicest most generous guys I've ever met, and that includes my ass-hole friend coop

I'm envious man!! Went for the NFL draft in April last year....time of my life! Highlight of my trip was a poker tournament at MGM (Luxor?) $5000 paid out 5 spots deep and I was the shorty 6th with less then half of 5th place. Talked my way into $500 as the low end of a chop. A guy had to catch a plane and 1-2 had to meet their old ladies or something. Left up $900 after airfare/hotel.
Take Iowa in hoops if you can find -21? They return everyone and have a 4 star guard freshman that can score. 4th most returning minutes played in D1!Comment -
