Haha, crazy post... I actually was in Vegas 4 years ago to the day. I drove from Ohio to LV with exactly $2700. I remember being there when the World Cup and WSOP was going on. I didnt even dabble in sportsbetting and didnt place a single wager my entire time there. I went to play in the $345 tournaments at Ceasars, Venetian, and Rio, and to play cash games when I wasn't in a tourny. My goal was to last as long as possible with the money had (I was going broke or winning big). I booked 5 nights at Emperial Palace (shithole), and on the 5th night, I was down to $400. I hadn't sat in the pits the entire time there, and finally said FCK IT, I sat down with my entire BR (I had enough money on a CC to get home if I went bust and planned on leaving the second after I did). Well, except I didnt, I ran that $400 up to $2500, and I was back in business. I went to bed, woke up and booked another 2 nights in the same hotel.
Well, as fate would have it, I ended up meeting a hot-ass chick at the Venetian at 5 am playing some cashgames. We exchanged numbers, and went our seperate ways. This, as you may expect, was my downfall. My 2 extra nights at E.P. was up, and I soon found myself hovering between 2k and 4k for a bankroll. I booked a night at the venetian (sweet place), and at 5 am 3 nights later, I saw this bitch walking down my hallway. I'm like wtf? She sees me and we start talking and she tells me how her BF left on the plane, and she stayed behind and was now broke and had nowhere to stay. Me, wanting a piece of ass, offered for her to stay with me. She agreed, and then asked me for $100. Alarms bells are now exploding in my head, and I now know this will never end well, but I had more money than what I came with, was already in Vegas over a week, and I gave her a $200 stake to play some cash games with. We walk down to the Casino, and this bitch immediately sits down at the blackjack table with the $200 I just handed her. I am thinking to myself, WTF???? And I am furious on the inside... but I keep my cool, and just stand behind and watch. She throws $100 on the first hand and loses. She throws $50 on the 2nd hand and loses. Now I am like, OK, if she loses this money, I am telling her to penetrate off and find somewhere else to stay and leave me the fck alone. She throws done the last $50 on the next hand and wins... $50 on the next and wins... $50 and wins... $100 and wins... $100 and wins.... and to make a long story short she ends up leaving the table with over $5000!!!!! I am like what in the FCK is going on here!!!!! We leave and are both extactic. She gives me back my $200 plus another $500... and I ****** her brains out not shortly after.
So we wake up the next day, she gets us 2 nights at the Venetian, and we go to the Rio to try and qualify for the WSOP main event. I played a $550 satellite, and after losing was left with about $2700, what I started the trip with. I felt it was a good time to take a breather and make a plan for the rest of the trip. Anyone who has gone to Vegas and never been to Vegas knows it is like another planet over there, very easy to get consumed and lose track of reality. Well, this bitch was not in tune with reality. This bitch decided to play $1000 satelites one ofter another trying to qualify for the main event. She loses 3 in a row, and has enough money to play a 4th and final one, which I advised against, but she did anyways. Well, she plays, and ends up getting down to heads up play with the winner getting the seat and the loser getting nothing. She has a massive chip lead on this guy (like 10 or 12 to 1), and I watch her fold preflop like 6-8 hands in a row, only to give up the chiplead, and eventually lose. This is when I realized she had no clue how to play poker.
Anyways, she scrounges up the last of her money, maybe a hundred or two total... and sits down at the BJ tables. I watch her turn that 100 or 2 into over 6K in about an hour. I am like is this bitch for real? Like is this an MIT BJ team member or wtf???? She leaves the table with her 6K, and we start walking to go eat dinner. She starts telling me about how she is a Mensa member and how she sees numbers differently than other humans do, and has this ability to somehow predict when certain hands are going to win. She was doing a lot of staying on 15 and 16 when dealer had a strong card showing, and seemed to be right a lot more often than she should have. She explained how she saw the game in terms of a giant graph, and could see the expected value of hands and whether or not the previous hands were above or below the EV... and she would bet accordingly. She also claimed to be counting cards as well. I have a pretty strong math background, so I understood what she was saying, but at the same time realized she was getting damn lucky.
So after dinner, I said I wanted to go play some cash games and she wanted to play BJ. Now, when she was playing, she stated how she felt good when I was there bc I would keep her under control. I wouldnt let her bet too much (she was trying to bet 2K on a hand one time), and I stepped in and said Sha-No. I told her to call me the second she felt she was losing control. Well i left for about an hour and decided I better check in, so I left my chips at the table, and saw her sitting in the exact same seat as when I left her, and she had about $10,000 in front of her, and she opened her purse and I saw probably two handfuls of $500 chips in her purse. Im like holy fcking shit!!! I left soon after and let her do her thing, while I went back to the tables and proceeded to lose $1500. I was down to about $1200 total, and decided to call it a night. I go back to the BJ table, and there she is, sitting in the same seat, still sitting with about 10K in front of her and still a purse half-full of $500 chips. I'm like let's go, you are up huge lets callit a night. She refuses to acknowledge me, so Im like whatever, Im going to bed. I get in the taxi, go back to the Venetian, and go get 5-6 hrs of sleep. I wake up that morning (about 4 am), and she is still not back, I call... no answer, I text... no answer. So I jump in a cab, go back to the Rio, and I see her sitting in the EXACT SAME SEAT, only this time she has about 2k in front of her. I know instantly that her purse is empty. She sees me and I just know. I approach her, and she says "I lost", and I'm like I can see that. She bets 1K and loses, bets another 1K and loses, and just like that she was broke. Knowing exactly how she felt (I had blown several 5 fig bankrolls in my time), I consoled her as we went back to the room. I still had $1200 left, and told her I would stake her in a tournament the next evening at the Venetian.
The evening comes around, and we both enter the tourny. It was a $170 buy in turbo type deal. I made it pretty far, but ended up bubbling the event for no money. She was still alive, and next thing you know she is at the final table. It gets to 6 handed and the thing was a total crapshoot. People at the table started discussing a deal and she ended up chopping 6 handed for almost 3K. I explained to her in detail BEFORE the tournament how the stake would work. I told her she would play it on my dime, and split 50/50 any winnings. Well, after she got the 3K, she said it was bullshit and that she wasn't going to give me anything except the $170 back. I flipped out!!! We get into it, and finally she says "ill give you $170 plus $500 but no more". Reluctantly I accepted.
So for the next week or so, we bounced from hotel to hotel, casino to casino. She never went on another run in blackjack. I was winning a little here and there in the cash games, basically enough to keep the bankroll even at around 2K and pay for hotels and food. We book a room at the Mirage, and go across the street to play cashgames at the Venetian. We are sitting at the same table and we both only had a couple hundo left. I notice she is talking discreetly with this dude and suddenly they both leave. I end up losing everything, and I am wondering wtf is going on. She had left her chips at the table, and I knew she had no more money other than what was in front of her at the time. I leave the venetian, and I cannot reach her at all. Her money is still at the table (about $200), and I walk around looking for her but do not find her. So I go back to the Mirage, and go to bed. I wake up the next morning to find her right beside me. It was really close to check out time, I am dead broke (except for enough on my CC to get home). I try to wake her up but she will not fully wake up. I am like violently shaking her trying to tell her "we gotta go, its Checkout time". She refuses to get up... so I go to the front desk, explain that there is a woman in my room who refuses to get up and I want to ensure that I am not going to get charged for another night. The clerk tells me I wont get charged but I had to pay for all the liquor that was taken from the mini fridge... Im like "I didnt take any", and she shows me an invoice with over $200 racked up on it. Apparently this bitch had gone back to the room and drank the entire liquor supply with that dude she left with the previous night at the Venetian. I was pissed as penetrate but paid it and was on my way home. I got about mid-way through Utah, and my phone rings... and it's her. I answer and she is bawling historically. She explains how she is at Hooters playing freeplay comps at the slot machines and she has no money, nowhere to stay, and no way to get home to Indiana. She explains to me how she has $57,000 in her savings account in Indiana, and will give me $2000 if I go back and pick her up. I knew I probably would never get that money and it was probably bullshit she even had it, but I did feel bad she was stranded so I went back.
I turn around and head back to Vegas, as soon as I meet her, she says how she got a comped night at X-caliber hotel, and we should stay. So I agree. Now, I had about $600 left on my CC, which was more than enough to get home as long as I didnt stop and stay in a motel. And since I was in Vegas I decided to take out a cash advance of $400 and play with it. I end up losing it rather shortly, and the next day decide to head home, only this dumbass bitch doesnt wanna leave. She apparently had a friend from Indiana sending her $500 ** that day. I take her to a casino' I forget the name, and she gets the money and sits down at blackjack. At this point I am over it, and I decide to head home without her stupid ass.
But all in all, I was in Vegas almost a month on $2700 and if it wasn't for that dumb bitch, I mitta lasted longer. I stayed in touch with her, and we actually visited each other several times as she was only a few hours away from where I live in Ohio. The more I got to know her the more I realized how fuckin crazy she really was.Comment -

in typical fashion my phone died as I was busting out of the tournament. So, I went down to the sportsbook and saw a lot of Dodgers apparel. I started thinking about how much I like Puig and laid $30 on the Dodgers. I walked back here to my room charge my phone only to realize that my tout was on Justin Masterson. So I am going to need another pick A$h.
Make back the $30 I lost last night plus another $30!

Busted out 56th. I can't remember the last time I went this card dead. I was dealt 10-4 & 10-5 at least 20 times. I was in the tourney for nearly 4.5 hours & I was dealt 4 pp's. When I was dealt 88 someone in early position raised 3 bets, I called and when he showed weakness on a 4-7-j rainbow flop, I threw out 10 bets & took down a small pot. the second time I was dealt pocket 8's I was able to limp in but had to fold when the flop came Jack queen king. After the second break I was dealt pocket twos and threw out a four bet pre flop & everyone folded. right before the first break I was dealt pocket vowels. Utg raised 6 or 7 bets & I came back over top preflop & he actually called but when k-6-2 came on the flop I might have made a mistake by betting out but either way he folded & I felt like I might have left chips on the table.
Towards the end I folded 27 of 28 hands & shoved with A-5s. Funny story when I busted out.....the flop came 4-9-k & he had already rolled over The Puig (66) but, the beauty of the flop was that there were 2 spades. Of course I miss, miss & guess what Puig did? He starts walking away as I begin to stand up. Someone at the table asked, "Does he know he won?" Another says,"What's he doing? Where's he going? What's going on?"
So, I say to him "No, No, its all good, I won the hand. Good game!". Everyone laughed & the guy walked back to the table with a confused look on his face while I began the losers walk out of the Mezz.
Overall I felt I played as well as I could with the rags I was dealt.
Heading back to the Monte Carlo to see if I can log 5-7 hours.
