I make my sports bets as early as I can & I don't really consider whether a line is gonna move a half point or so, I am where I am & I'm gonna get the line that I get. The free roll that I will hopefully be playing in on Saturday does, in fact Have a cracked AA & cracked KK $200 bonus. Word is lately that there are 85-90 players with the hours to qualify but a guy from northern N.Y. told me that there are always 10-20 players that don't show up in spite of qualifying. I still like my chances & I have 4.5 more hours to put in before I am in!

Man they have aa and kk cracked for 1-200 all over the strip for the cash games limit and nl. Best low buy in tourny value wise is the stratosphere 62 total buy in 4500 starting chips 20 min levels. Usually about 100 runners. Free pizza if you play the 7pm. Could be worth a few looks considering your roll.

I understand that not having to work and being able to live off gambling is something that sounds good to a lot of us in theory. But this seems like a grind that I wouldn't enjoy. Honestly, even if could make $100 a day gambling I would rather work for the $36,500 and make a few bets here and there than having to grind every day trying to pick winners.

I am conveniently forgetting to mention the bankroll needed to even attempt to do this and the inherent difficulties of beating major sports books in major markets for an extended period of time.

Thanks, I'm definitely gonna look into some of those but, I still don't know how you find a lower buy-in limit than FREE.

yeah If I had $36,000.00 I could probably make $100 a day or at least, average $100 a day for 6 months but, sadly, that's not the situation I'm in.

One session away from breaking even.
Even if I'm down $210 by the time I qualify for the freeroll, it's not a huge price to pay for a shot at a $18,000.00 prize pool.
I'd be in about the exact same position if I took your advice only I'd have been rewarded when my aces were cracked.

Maybe you're right, I should venture down to the Strat.
But, 25 hours at $2-$6 is the best I found. Like I said I am also planning on checking out the Excalibur this week.

Jay, they way I read it, Hippo was/ is generally rooting for you like the rest of us. The whole forum feels compelled to offer suggestions because we all want to see you last as long as possible. A lot of us are dreaming, wondering what if we were Jay? What we would do differently? etc. Completely different context when you're actually doing it. I think one of the greatest aspects of this thread is how honest and raw you have been.
