Checking out in a few hours. I guess I might have misunderstood the rates & how they work. The rates here at the Clarion spike today from $29-$39 to $139. Either way I am going to head over The Hotel Suites of America & hope that they honour a $222 Weekly rate that they quoted me on the phone.
I'm just gettin' further & further away from the strip. LOL
The cabbie who drove me here from the airport told me that there are a ton of hookers at this Hotel Suites of America. Can't wait.
I don't know what sort of Wi-Fi service will be available but, if I don't post for a while, you'll know why.

Well, checked into the Hotel Suites of America. This was a down grade for sure. They charged me $40 to have sheets on my bed!
Total for the week $267.80.
The place is full of hooks & a pimp rolled in, in a Bentley as I made my way to the Wynn.
Already running into problems at the Wynn, I'll get to that later.
There's no Wi-Fi at the room I'm in so, I 'm carrying the Laptop with me to the casinos.
The good news is, the room is like an apartment. I have a fridge, stove, sink & full bathroom, so I won't have to eat McDonald's every day!
Don't feel safe leaving my BR in the room so, I plan to pay for a PO box & leave half my bankroll there until I need it.
It's really not as bad as I thought & I don't feel like I'm in imminent trouble but, I feel that trouble is imminent!

So by buddy from Toronto is supposed to me here at the sportsbook at the Wynn. I ask what the beverage policy is & they tell me that I get a drink ticket with every $200 sports wager & every $10 Racebook wager. So, obviously I decide that the best route for me is to run that "Show Parlay" method that I have written about here at SBR.
Sure enough I lose my 1st show bet for $10, I head to the window to attempt to run it again & the guys says "I can't give you a drink everytime you bet a $10 show. Of course I try to explain that this contrary to their policy but they don't seem to like what I'm doing.
The way I am looking at it I just paid $20 for a drink, they seem to think they're gonna take a loss on my drinking.
Anyway.

Keep your head up bro! lol I like personal stories about success or failure. I am thinking about sports betting as a career myself. I have been doing it for almost 9 years and I am 31. I don't need Vegas. I live in Austin, Tx and I don't think Vegas is better than that. I would like to move to the Caribbean or South America and enjoy the day while sports betting at night. Anyway I do a chase system were I bet to win 100 then a 2nd half to win 200 if the first loses. So far I have done it for 3 weeks, betting at least 50 or more games with a chase and I have a record of around 48-4. I know I have made about 3700 in those three weeks betting 110 then a 220 chaser so I think I should at least make a 100 a day. Something like that. Anyway, I always check your thread to see how you are doing. I always love a good person experience story. I'm pulling for ya bud.

Hotels: If you going need to pay for your rooms you should be able to do better than what you are paying for mid-range rent by the weeks (yea, those you mentioned are mid-range) and be able to stay either on the strip or downtown (use a site like hotelcombined.com that compares various discount sites if you going to pay for room). Usually the trick to getting the cheapest price is to book one room mid-week and then another room for Friday and Saturday. Just watch out for the resort fee scam and don't book last minute (two-three weeks in advance is usually the sweet spot but you can always cancel shit and adjust if you find better prices later). Anything downtown besides the Golden Nugget is basic but clean and safe.

Given your roll if you set on staying in Vegas and really planning on being out there for any extended time you should look at renting a room from someone as you could probably find something decent for under $500 a month.

Gambling: Cut out shit like the ponies and roulette because you aren't beating them. Spend more time looking for more promos like the poker freeroll you found at Monte Carlo but don't limit yourself to just poker. If you don't have player's cards at a bunch of places already there is probably a couple dimes in new sign up rebates and other promos you should be looking at doing (palms, hooters, cosmo, trop, cannery, plaza, etc).

Well, last night wasn't a demonstration in discipline or money management, not by a longshot.
I was a stupid mess. Drunk about 3 hours after I logged off. Still though, it was a fun night.
Not really here to have fun but, when my buddy showed up I got all excited & the wrecklessness insued.
From the Wynn we went back to my room to drop off his $H|t, then we went to the Vanitian.
He loves the Vanitian. It's too expensive for me but he like the Poker Room there. I remember playing the $4-$8 & rivering a straight with Ace-King of Clubs. I also made bets there before we went to the Grand. Cuse M/L parlayed with The Bruins.
So, I know what your thinkin' JayVegas hit huge last night.
Well, this is where it starts to get a little hazy.
We stopped at a couple different liquor stares on the walk up to the Grand. By buddy likes to drink alot so by the time I get to the Grand, I've had 6 double crown & cokes 2 king cans not, to mention the drink tickets I accumulated here at the Wynn.
We really wanna see that Bruins game but, can't find scalps for less than $300.
The guy finally comes down to $240 & we end up getting 8th row seats for $110 each. The kicker....We both sold our tickets after the game to Oregon fans for $10 a piece. I'll have some pics from our seats posted tomorrow, my buddy forgot his USB cord.
Anyway.
The game was awesome, probably the best game this March. We head back down to the Venetian but, not before we stop at the Monte Carlo to cash that ticket I bet a couple days before and Coop buys into the BJ game for $100 I give him $33 for a third of anything we make. Great deal for me & we win $105!
Still sounds like a lucrative night but we get to Venetian & I cash the winning sportsbook tickets & I head to the $1-$2 NL Game.
I was drunk but remember getting dealt my favourite hand Jack King Off. The flop came J 10 J, I check so do the other 2 players in the hand. The turn's an 8 and I check, so do the other 2.
The river's a brick (2 or a 3 I think), I bet $15, the chic beside me folds and I get raised $60.
I know somethings up but of course I pulled the DRUNK SHOVE, say "I have the Bachelor's Hand".
He asks,"What's that?"
I exclaim "Jacking Off"
"Oh" he says, "I have a tight".
I call him a jack off & leave the table.
Oh yeah, I bough in for everything I had on me.
Woke up today with exactly $2,000.00

A $316 day.
Can't afford too many more of those.
