i have always been one to stick up for betislands....

but im very happy i started moving money to tony and heritage....im sure everything will end up being ok but id be kind of nervous if i had my whole balance there

In the same boat Cuse. I recommended BI to a number of people and that is something I don't take lightly. I believe this is a case of them biting off more that they can chew and will eventually get straight.

I would compare this more to a stock market scenario. Rumors send stocks up or down all the time. The question becomes evaluating the rumor versus the strength of the company. There is an advantage to buying a stock after a fear-based price drop, but there is no advantage here by depositing when the sheeple are bleating their ears off. If I were to make a deposit I would wait for things to calm down.

We know that the BI clientele is comprised largely of a 'gimme, gimme, gimme' crowd, so that would weigh into my evaluation of the flipped mood.

decent comparison, and i like the point that unlike the stock market, here you get NO relative benefit to depositing even if every rumor is false and betislands is the most financially sound book in the history of the world.

sadly it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy sometimes and confidence in the safety of your funds is everything.

Processing issues - Ok, it's happened to every book. Servers going down - Ok, it's happened to every book.

2 "vacations" in the span of less than a month by a bookie in the middle of high season undergoing a "big merger" with a suspect organization like ezstreet, who can't send or receive money to his players and has left no one in charge of his operation because they're a bunch of clueless idiots with no power to make decisions?!?! NEVER IN THE HISTORY OF BOOKMAKING!

He is either the worst bookie of all time or he's abandon ship. Take your pick but I would never send this clown 1 cent of my money. You lay down with dogs, you're going to get fleas.

I hope you all get paid, I do not wish 1 player to get stiffed but cut the crap about stand up "honest Jon". He has already lied to the public multiple times about the whole deal. Based on information provided from multiple sources in this and other forums he's a vagabond on a shoestring budget trading on his glory days.

The biggest tip off that BI is in trouble is that Jon would be so desperate that he had to cut a deal with ezthief sports. That says it all. Jon seems like a good guy when he posts (although sometimes condescending) and many of you have had good encounters with him, but unfortunately THAT WON'T PAY THE F^%KING BILL!

Best case scenario? Welcome to the new BI where CS sucks, payouts are uncertain and Jon's not available.

I personally left because their lines are late, the CS sucks now and management is getting worse and worse...along with the server issues. I defend them cause they've always paid, what's so hard to understand? You don't even play there anymore but continuely need to let everyone know it, maybe I don't get it. I just tell it like it is. I like every book I play at till they don't pay.
