I'd like to get everyone else's thoughts on this total if I could please.

I like the OVER Dan.. I watched the replay of that game NYG/NE earlier today on NFL Network from the last week of the season and they should have scored even more...
NE is going to blow these guys out but I do think NY puts up 17...
Another 80's type of Super Bowl...
NE 48
NYG 17

Under here as well. But I may skip the game. Somehow I can't stomach the thought of one more Brady grin beneath a super bowl.

I took an under 54.5 as soon as it came out and actually found a 55 to open my wagering with, but that disappeared before I had enough of a chance to add to my initial bet. I just thought it was high for a super bowl game and if I wanted to get out or middle, I would have a decent opportunity. So far, so good.

Too many points. After the Pats get up 28-10 or something, they'll ease up. They have no incentive to run it up beyond that.

Super Bowl history and Patriots history will show that they will run it up if they can. They won't let up. This is the biggest game of the season and there's no tomorrow. If either team gets up, don't expect mercy of any kind.

Pound the Over!!
I don't get all the picks for Under?? Didn't these 2 teams just play a 38-35 game? The Pats are going to open up again now that they've escaped the cold and Eli is playing well and distributing the ball and avoiding turnovers better than he ever has! I see Moss busting out big time since he's done nothing in the playoffs so far! New York should get theirs since the Pats pash rush has been non-existent lately!
Pats 36 NYG 27...pound 53.5 ALL DAY!!

How does the record of postseason games Over/Under matter to the Super Bowl itself? You can't compare playoff games with January cold weather, travel situations, bye weeks, etc to the Super Bowl? Both teams have better weather and you're matching up the best QB with the hottest QB! I put more stock in New England being 11-6 ATS...and I'm sure most of the 6 Unders were due to weather!
