Seahawks vs. Packers -7 (2 units) - well I bought a point again pulling this down from -9. I think by game time the spread might even head south to this level anyway so I'd advise to wait it out. The public favors Seattle but by no means is it overwhelming at about 65%. The Seahawks defense really stepped it up last week against my Skins, something which surprised most of the nation I think. Shaun Alexander just looked average again but Hasselbeck had some nice throws that he can build on. The Packers offense is much more balanced and potent compared to Washington. Favre still has an amazing arm and his WRs have great hands. Look for Donald Driver to have at least 6 receptions tomorrow, although Marcus Trufant handled Santana Moss pretty well but Driver is bigger and more physical. Green Bay has a nasty LB core, a decent pass rush and a skilled secondary... somewhat comparable to the Skins but still better overall. Holmgren and Hasselbeck come back to GB where they'll be used to the cold weather. Maybe Matt won't be a prick again if this goes into OT... "We want the ball and we're gonna score!" Packers all day baby as they still surprise the nation with surprising play.

Jaguars +13.5 (3 units) vs. Patriots - a decent line for this game as the Patriot backers got away without having to deal with the hook if this were 14.5 instead. Majority of the money so far is on Jax at near 65%, I think mostly because of the high line and underdog betting during the playoffs. This will be the most physical team the Patriots have seen in a few weeks and probably the best team to match up against them too. New England has faultered a bit late in the season, almost losing a few games but making miraculous comebacks towards the end to win it. You have to wonder if they were just toying with us or if they really are losing some mojo? It's hard to tell but this game could go either one of two ways. A) Patriots come out with 2 quick 1st quarter TDs and just keep pounding Jax to a 41-17 victory, or they come out kinda flat and let Jax hang around with good defense but still end up winning 27-23. I'm not sure which it'll be but I'll be taking the points regardless. It's always nice to have the best RB combo in the league on your side.

Sat NFL picks
I don't feel confident at all with who will cover the spreads or even who wins SU on Saturdays matchups
Going to play them both for over. Good weather, cool but no wind & no snow- both matchups want to play from a lead.
Seattle/GreenBay over 42.5 - 1 unit
Jacksonville/NewEngland over over 49.5 - 2 units

heres the action for today... GL
Chargers +10 (2 units) vs. Colts - word on the street is that Marvin Harrison will play, but Antonio Gates will not. The Chargers seemed to still do OK without him last week vs the Titans as he went out early in the 1st with a toe injury. The Colts, meanwhile, have struggled on offense without Harrison so he will be eagerly welcomed back. San Diego comes into the playoffs as one of the hottest teams, and they certainly showed that by handling the Titans pretty easily last week. Philip Rivers will be on the road which concerns me but I think LT knows he can step it up to take the pressure off. This is a rematch from the 11/11 game in which the Colts almost came back to win despite 6 INTs by Peyton. That was also the Colts' last real loss, I'm currently not counting week 17 because of everyone resting. The Chargers were giving 10.5 last week and are now getting 10.5, the line opened at 9 and has slowly trickled higher. San Diego will try to control the game and keep Peyton and his boys off the field, but Norv Turner is in for another one of his usual losses. He just can't win the big game, I obviously think Indy will win but it should still be close (thanks to Tomlinson).
Giants +7.5 (2 units) vs. Cowboys - I took the game back when the line was still 7.5, but now it sits at +7 instead. Not much movement on this one since open, but the public perceives the Giants will cover. Everyone I've talked to is all like "yeah man the Giants are going to upset Dallas, its a sure thing" blah blah blah. When the line opened I was heavy on NYG, but over the past few days as I've heard more and more people talk about the Giants upsetting here that I've started to rethink this. They are a hot team right now, and their road record is amazing. The Cowboys have struggled late this season, and its basically all on Romo. Just like last year he slumped late, its hard to imagine he won't do it again but it certainly seems like he's trending downwards. TO and Terry Glenn are supposed to play, but how healthy their ankles will be is another question. This would've been a higher unit pick for me but I've scaled it down because of all the hoopla. I originally thew 2 units on this and was planning on taking more action when the line settled for huge but like I said the plans changed.
