#3I think there's only two games I passed on with New England all year up till now, that's the most I've bet a team so far ever. I'll probably ride the wave if it goes under 20, playing at home in another primetime game.Comment -

I agree. Strange that the line suddenly explodes to 22, when it's been around 17 every week for the past few months. Why are the Eagles so terrible? I guess McNabb concerns has influenced the line. Still. I'd like to keep hammering the Pats, but this one makes me stop and think. How insane good are the Patriots? Really?Comment -

1) Pats beat EVERYONE (except indy) by 17 points or more.
2) Pats have home field advantage (thats another 3)
3) Pats devour unexperienced qb's with blitz schemes(picks/ff's/hurries)
(I don't even know if McNabb gives them any edge over Feeley)
4) Pats = AFC Eagles = NFC(sucks)
5) The Eagles were losing to the crappy Fins at home last week for a little bit...
6) The Eagles might not score

#7I'll try to explain why this line (-22.5) makes sense:
1) Pats beat EVERYONE (except indy) by 17 points or more.
2) Pats have home field advantage (thats another 3)
3) Pats devour unexperienced qb's with blitz schemes(picks/ff's/hurries)
(I don't even know if McNabb gives them any edge over Feeley)

#11I think the Pats win by more than the 22 points also, I wouldn't be surprised if it is a repeat of last week like 56-10 again. I say take the Pats in this game even though the line is that large.Comment -

#12you guys seeing more people taking eagles today or pats? i only ask cause if it's going to go down to 20 or 21, ill wait to take the pats, but otherwise i'll grab it now at 22Comment -

#13I think that history shows that teams favored by 18 or more points tend to NOT cover the spread. But history isn't the 2007 Patriots. I'm not willing to bet against them even at 22.Comment -

#15my theory is that i see the pats scoring 42 (or more) and thus the question is can the eagles post 20 or more on the pats d
my guess is that no, they won'tComment -

#19One strategy that has worked well for me so far this season with the Pats is:
1) Bet heavy on the 1st half, I usually play 2 units on the half for every unit I put on the game
Other strategies that I employ that have also covered every week except for the Colts game is:
1) Parlay the Pats and the over in the 1st half
2) Play the over for the gameComment -

#25I agree.. Taking the eagles is a sucker bet. The books are hoping people jump on the eagles. I remember when people thought the patriots wouldn't cover the redskins or buffalo just recently. Tom Brady even said himself their trying to blow out everyone they play. The eagles are gonna get their brains blown out.Comment -

It wasn't 22, but the last time any NFL team was favored by 20 points or more was 2001. Rams (-20) 48, Carolina 14.Comment -

This has backdoor cover screaming all over it.
Pats would have to be up by 29/30 points to get that "safe feeling" damn!!!Comment -

#35Don't even worry about the points, the Pats are going to beat the Eagles 45 - 14. No McNabb and A.J. Feeley sucks and even if McNabb was playing they would still not cover the point spread.Comment
