    Big dogs Sunday Oct 14
Take the point spreads today, I don't see them getting any better. I expect the money lines to move in our favor, you might wait and see on them. I will post additional big dog plays if they emerge. I don't understand this St Louis line at all. Baltimore is TERRIBLE. Is St Louis worse than terrible? This Oakland line seems like free money.

I am increasing the bet sizes on these games. Where you see "Adding" that means add this bet size to the original pick.

If you didn't take these lines when the games opened then combine the units and use the lines you get today. PLEASE buy the points to avoid the 3 and 7 danger numbers.

    St Louis +11 2 units Adding +9 9.5 units
    St Louis +450 1 unit Adding +400 4.25 units

    Oakland +11 5 units Adding +9 1/2 7 units
    Oakland +475 2.5 units Adding +450 3.5 units

Update - some people are aggravating me to post dogs above +200
Okay, these are small dogs...you know the ones that look like rats and your girlfriend dresses them up in clothes? LOL

    Houston +7 1/2 (buy the 1/2 point) 4 units Adding +7 1/2 6.5 units
    Houston +250 2 units Adding +250 3.25 units

    Minnesota +5 1/2 5 units Adding +5 2 units
    Minnesota +210 2.5 units Adding +210 1 unit

    Adding:
    Carolina +5 1/2 5 units
    Carolina +220 2.5 units

    New Orleans +6 12 units
    New Orleans +240 6 units

Dont' blame me if these rat dogs lose. LOL And please don't cry to me when you don't buy the 1/2 point on the Houston game and you end up with a push.

New England beats Dallas and covers the spread. In case you were thinking of betting on Dallas..

I'll list these again using the total unit sizes including what I added today:
    St Louis +9 10.5 units
    St Louis +400 5.25 units

    Oakland +9 1/2 12 units
    Oakland +450 6 units

    Houston +7 1/2 (buy the 1 point) 10.5 units
    Houston +250 5.25 units

    Minnesota +5 1/2 7 units
    Minnesota +210 3.5 units

    Carolina +5 1/2 5 units
    Carolina +220 2.5 units

    New Orleans +6 12 units
    New Orleans +240 6 units

Look no further than the Texans +265. This team beat JAX twice with David Carr at QB. +6.5 already dropped from opening at +7. They also beaten JAX 4 of the last six meetings, sweeping the season series last year and in '05.

I think St. Louis looks especially good. I'm not sure either team will score 10 the whole game with how night and day Baltimore's defense and offense is.

I guess I should define "big dog". For me a big dog is +400 or more.

I will handicap the Texans game though and see if I like it as a dog.

I missed St. Louis +11 and got some +10. I'm not touching Oak vs SD... SD is a weird team this season.

On another note, not a big dog but I like Tennessee this Sunday... Tampa is hurting in the RB department and Tennessee as a dog, they somehow find a way to cover.

Gotcha. Big dogs in the NFL for me are +200 because you don't usually get too many juicy MLs like college.

That Rams line is sticking out like a sore thumb , I'm not sure I understand why they are that big of a dog against a struggling Ravens unit. I'm not saying that STL is good, but neither is Baltimore; pretty much a toss up so I'll take the points...

I agree SD is weird this year, but with a nice win over the Broncos I feel as though the Chargers will give the Raiders a nice loss. I'm thinking 35-17.

Hey curious. I will be with you on the Vikings +6. They could very well win the game out right.

                      Good luck with your plays.

                        Hey Curious.

I really respect you knowledge and from what I seen you picks have been right on the past few weeks on here.

If you have a sec could you elaborate why you think Minn wins this game. I just don't see it. I see the nfl plays off emotion maybe more then any other sport from week to week. And after Farve throws them that game sunday night I can see the bears getting their act together on both sides of the ball and just maybe chicago special teams wakes up with another big play..

Without a running game the Texans are doomed. I saw all Jaguars and Texans games this year and it will be tough for Texans to score points against this Jaguars defense.

That's the same story every year pavy, yet somehow the Texans have won 4 of the last 6 and covered 5 of the last 6 meetings. They've actually run well vs. this team in the past with worse players than they currently have. I think the bigger plus for Houston this year is their own defense is very good vs. the run. Can David Garrard make enough plays in the passing game? I took the Texans and the points. Will still have a small play on them on the ML as well.
