                                                        i feel same about ALL american "foot"ball and basketball...elaborate forms of RSCZK (random shit-call zebra kong)...benefitting from undeserved flags/fouls seem to be more conducive to victory than playing better than the other team...

                                                        last "two minutes" of official time in either sport are like excruciating legal-proceedings with forensic video analysis taking MUCH longer than the few frakkin' seconds of play it's based on

                                                            Basketball is notorious for excessive usage of time-outs during the final two minutes if it's a close game. Totally kills the flow of the game. By far the worst of all the American sports. Football is a little bit better with fewer and shorter timeouts. Baseball is a drag sometimes but the entire game is played so slowly anyways the pitcher changes/mound visits are not as noticeable. Hockey on the other hand is basically non-stop action with only 1 timeout allowable.

                                                                agree 100%, hockey rocks...when NHL and NBA playoffs are running side by side i can't figure out for the life of me why anyone would pay any attention to "squeak squeak...time out...squeak squeak...carnival game free throws...squeak squeak...video review...squeak squeak..."...hockey is to be enjoyed, basketball is to get pissed off about and argue over

                                                                closest thing to hockey as a team-sport from the entertainment angle is good rugby...7-man tourneys are non-stop explosive highlight-reel action......and RugbyLeague (not Union) also great eye-candy closer to (but WAAAY better) than am"foot"ball...my fave is the top Aussie version, NRL) amazing 80-minutes of non-stop play of the same 2 dozen athletes without all the ridiculous platooning/padding/pussification (knee-taking, TD's that don't require actually touching the ball down anywhere on the turf, PAT's located between the uprights rather than at point of the "touch down"/tackle...etc. etc.)...RugbyLeague is 80 minutes of flowing action in an 80-minute game...amfootball is 15 minutes of flag-infected action in a "60-minute" game...
