#12no doubt a fixed game....A layup uncontested at the buzzer to cover the spread. To many suspicious things in this game.Comment -

#14here we go again...fixed game but UCLA blows it and goes like 12-14 at the line to nearly cost themselves $$ in the last two minutes. luckily though the mafia sends the message to WKU to put the scrubs in and get that final fixed bucket.Comment -

#17one thing i have noticed about UCLA after watching them a lot this year is those guys know what the spread is and are considering it in the last few minutes of the game, and generally are trying to cover when they win.... did you see love after that kid darted in for the layup with three seconds left when he went to grab the ball and inbound it and was looking way up court like he wanted to fire one of his courtlength passes to get the cover back, but the rest of the team was just walking away so he didn't bother, but you could kind of see it in his reaction to the layup that he wanted one more bucket even though they were up by 10 with no time left, just like that stanford OT where the only explanation is they were trying to get the cover on top of the win.....
as far as, 'letting' the kid get the layup, i think, if they are trying to cover, the layup took them by surprise, the bench just got put in for WKU, when that happens in the last 10 seconds the bench generally doesnt shoot the ball and the kid with the ball walked it up as if they were dribbling it out and then spontaneously darted to the hoop from the backcourt....
i honestly believe when UCLA is up late in a ballgame, their next goal is covering the spread.... anyone inclined to refute this needs to replay the last minute of the stanford game before they post, there was absolutely no explanation for what they did there except they were trying to cover, and they did cover a 10 point spread in OT with what they did.... and i was on UCLA ML in that game so this perspective is not sour grapes.... just an observation this year.... sorry bout the loss buzzy believe me i know the feelinComment -

#20Does this really qualify as a backdoor cover? WK brought the game to within four, and it was within six with a minute left. If anything, UCLA would have gotten the backdoor if THEY covered....which is technically a frontdoor coverComment -

#21chicken or egg argument here....
yes WKU backdoored with the final bucket, but good point, they were only winning by 4 with a few minutes left, but, UCLA was up by 21 at the half and at the beginning of the second half..... and so on and so on..... i guess it depends on the ticket you were holding, which is why i love ML playsComment -

#25Yeah stingyrivers good point. My point is, I guess, if your team is only up six with a minute to go, don't expect them to win by 13.....And blowing the lead they had doesn't really give creedence to UCLA being truly backdoored. That's my .02Comment
