We are exactly 2 weeks away from the start of the season. College basketball will look very different this year but im still excited. I will be posting my BIG EAST plays in this thread. Tail or Fade as you wish!

My BE 2020/21 predicted order of finish

Yes, im taking 5 guards to take home BH first team this year. Obviously there are many other fantastic players that can make this list: Robinson-earl, Scruggs, Antoine, Moore and the list goes on.

This year will be very bumpy, but im optimistic that we will complete this year with some sort of tournament. See everyone on Nov 25!

Ed Cooley should have his team ready for this opener. I like the inside outside presence of Duke and Watson to lead the scoring vs a team that only shot 39% last year. Providence gets an easy win. Friars by 27

Umbc. +13

I’m not high on Georgetown this year. They bring back Blair and Pickett but had a huge turnover of players. Umbc return 6/7 of their main playmakers. Hoyas should struggle out of the gates. Hoyas win by 5

Butler -18.5

Butler may have had some turnover, and losing Baldwin is huge. They are still defensively solid. Western Michigan lost their 2 best player that averaged a combined 34 pts per game. This one should not be close. Butler by 29!

St. John’s -9.5

Although I wasn’t impressed yesterday with St. John’s, I do see some value here. Lasalle is small and St. John’s should be able to dominate the boards on both sides of the court. Offensive rebounds should lead to easy pts. Red storm win by 14.

Nova -6

Yes, I should have taken this one earlier for the better number but I still like it. Nova looked shaky but should look better with a game under their belt. Arizona st won but gave up a 16 pt lead. If nova gets a run like that, they will cruise to a cover. Cats by 10

Xavier -9.5

Xavier destroyed oakland before a nail biting win vs Bradley. Toledo had a nail biting loss to Bradley than destroyed oakland. They eye test would say these teams look even, but I do see an advantage. Toledo will live and die by the 3, which they did very well with in their first two games. This is now their third game in 3 days to open the season. I first see xavier playing better defense around the arc and also see Toledo's legs being tired here on day three. Xavier will dominate the paint and score at will. Xavier wins this one easily by 16!

Louisville -5.5

Seton Hall is going to be good this year. They lost Powell and Mcknight but added Harvard transfer Aiken who I predict will be first team all big east. I believe it will take a game or two for Aiken to become comfortable with his new team and system. Louisville is a tough first game matchup and I see seton hall struggling enough to lose and for louisville to cover. Cards by 10

I love this blue jay team this year. I believe they are the team to beat in the big east. They will look like an offensive juggernaut and will be hard to defend. They are my sleeper pick for the final four. They should destroy North Dakota state. Creighton by 30+

After a blowout win, Xavier win two close games to reach 3-0. Xavier is only 1-2 ats. Eastern Kentucky is 2-0 and have looked good on the boards and defensively forcing 23 turnovers a game. I see them keeping this one under the number. X-men by 12

Seton hall lost a nail bitter vs Louisville in their opener. Aiken didn’t play much as he is learning the system. Iona lost their top three scorers. Look for seton hall to humiliate Pitino in his opener. Hall by 23.

Friars and Hoosiers looked dominate in opening night wins. They now play each other in Maui quarterfinals. Hoosiers fast breaks and defense could be the difference here. Hoosiers by 7

Blue jays are 0-1 ats with a unimpressive win to start their season. Now that opening night jitters are over, I see them with a convincing win here. Creighton by 25!

Navy +10

Navy is better that UMBC. Davis and Carter jr are a nice guard combo that should be able to score vs the Hoyas. Georgtown's length gives them an advantage on the boards but they out rebounded UMBC by 20 and still only won by 8. If navy is able to play an effective zone or have a game plan to minimize second chance points, they could win this game outright. Hoyas by 6!

Seton hall -2

It took the pirates till the second half to blow out Iona and cover the spread. Aiken is out for this game but Sandro has looked like a beast. Rhode Island is 2-2. Fatts Russell has looked impressive. I see the pirates grounded out a win late in this one. Seton Hall by 6!

Xavier is 1-3 ats but Tennessee tech will have a tough time scoring. Xavier average 81 pts per game to techs 57. Xaviers transition will lead to several easy buckets. Xavier by 29!
