Drexel -13½ at James Madison
Game Time: 1/8/2007 7:00:00 PM

Lay the big points tonight with the Drexel Dragons visit JMU Convocation Center for a game against the James Madison Dukes.
I don't recommend laying 13½ on the road on a regular basis with a team that is 11-26 in their last 37 as a favorite. But in this particular game, you can make a decent case.
Quite simply, James Madison is awful. The Dukes' last two wins were a 70-66 decision over New Jersey Tech and a 62-47 win over Delaware that stands all of 2-12 on the season to date. Losses before and after those victories include an 89-53 loss to Georgetown, a 20-point home loss to Youngstown State, a 13-point loss to Texas Pan Am and the latest, a 77-61 home court triumph by Virginia Commonwealth that saw the hosts shoot 34.6% from the field.
This is the best Drexel team since the Malik Rose days. The Dragons are 11-2 winning nine straight including roadies at Villanova, Syracuse, and Temple. Drexel has won nine straight in the series, going 6-3 against the spread, with last three victories by 11, 9, and 28 points.
Not sure you want to dig up any of the 55-gallon drums of money in your backyard, but Drexel is worth a look in this contest.
