Enjoy the canyon!! Hopefully you have better weather than when I was there last summer. 65 MPH winds, serious sandstorm. I pussed out & didn't venture too close to the edge to look at the canyon. Heading to Vegas next week and will be there for the big game.

883 Col/Amer under 58 first half

About 1/2 the books have 57.5 and the other half has 58. Shop around

I have capped it at 54 to 55 points. Not a lot of room for error but I still like my chances.

Did the sand finally settle from the major sandstorm they had while I was there??? WOW was that was nerve wracking trying to get pics of horseshoe bend and just looking over the rim in general. Leaving for vegas tues night. Can't wait! Falcons gatorade was green in the 2 playoff games. Pats this year have orange every game... Succinct analysis I know

Did not see any sand because they had several inches of snow before I got there. Not sure what would be worse, blowing off the edge or slipping off the edge. I guess both would be bad.

When I start looking at games, I do my initial look based on some filters, tempo, possession time etc. I then assign a possible over, under or no play to that game. Then I begin looking at several other factors to filter games even further. The problem is over the last several weeks the games that have made my first cut but not my second, have been doing very well. The other problem is that I am not big on playing a lot of games each day, but if they are winning by more than 56% I have to start thinking about changing my thinking.

This all reminds me of my baseball thread. For those of you that followed my baseball thread, I started posting my "Reliever Plays", not to necessarily play but to track. These were plays based just the relief staff. As it turns out they won at about a 58% rate over hundreds of games.

I say all this because I am thinking of posting these "first look" plays along with my regular plays. Not sure yet what to do.

I swore I'd never bet on NCAAB again but... I can't pass on DD. The key is to bet on the games, NOT to watch them.

DD, I'm doing an MLB team totals thread this year using a model similar to the one I've used to hit NHL Team Totals at around 70% this year. I hope you'll be doing another MLB thread, last year's was swell.

Flea very excited to hear about a possible MLB team totals model....in other news, I don't mind watching NCAAB, but after watching the sh1t show that was the 1H under loss yesterday on a buzzer beater, not sure I can stomach watching NCAAB games I'm invested in for the foreseeable future.

I think it's a Canadian thing. I think Americans are used to watching that level of basketball. Most Canadians only see the NBA so we assume that players will generally make their free throws, be able to pass the ball to a wide open player, inbound the ball without drama, intentionally foul a player without drama, not take three pointers 12 feet behind the line for no reason, etc. I got quite an education this weekend. Some of the teams were under 50% from the foul line! I can make more than 50% from the foul line and I'm a nerd stats grad student.
