Tribecca is a horse I have been riding for awhile. I liked others in there, but does well on wet, thought it was good value, why not. I'll probably lose next leg, lol. Not feeling good with the ticket, but who knows.

Belmont Saturday
Race 1
#6 O Shea Can U See (9/2) , Finished 2nd 5.5 lengths behind the favorite in here #2 Getoffmyback (2/1) , But that one got an easy lead and walked the dog. Note our choice, albeit a stone closer was also off slow that day. Could flip the script in this spot as this field is loaded with speed. The track is probably going to have some moisture in it, but encouraged by this geldings off track record of 7: 2-2-0. I always been a fan of this horse effort going back further than your PP’s show you. Loves it here 9: 2-3-0. Linda did not have any success with this one previously and sold for 10k , Really perked up in the Atras Barn (as many do) , and now is a re claim. Her #1 Pilot named to ride in Jose Lezcano. I don’t love the horse, but its the only direction I would go, if betting this race. Pretty much the entire rest of the field is speed. Speaking of Atras he saddles a new member to his barn on which looks like a private purchase in the #7 No Distortion (7/2) , This gelding appears to have zero tactical speed , but find his lowest level to date in this spot and will be overlooked at the windows. Logical underneath. #9 Desert Lights (10/1) Has showed the ability to come from off the pace if you go 2 and 3 back in your form. Gets in a much better barn, draws well, and gets in @ 120. Loves this distance 3: 1-2-0 , I just wish I saw more in the mornings since going to Jeremiah’s barn. but has a chance.
Its just strange to see horses running in claiming races protected , with that new rule. 2,4,6,& 9 all protected.
Race 2
This is another race that im not eager to jump in, but I’ll make a pick with the #4 Standup (3/1) , Should get a nice setup in this spot to show that late kick. Was only a length behind Smile Bryan last time who came back and romped for Graham for Motion a few days ago. This Into Mischief broke his maiden on this course in the pletcher barn, Falcone adds the blinkers where he hit 19% in last 16 times doing so. Returns back to the claimed level. But probably passing here.
Race 3
#5 Dreams of Tomorrow (1/1) , was really green on debut down in Florida, finishing 3rd in a race that came back strong, the winner is a chad brown that didn’t show up thursday however, in Basquait. Much better price and horse I’ll be backing for a win bet around this number is the #6 First Line (4/1) , For an Orlando Noda Trained horse (no knock on the up and coming trainer, but he doesn’t take money like that) to take this much money in both tries in a MSW 68k, tells me there is talent here. Chestnut Gelding took a huge step forward in the 2nd start, just look at the Z pattern, from 2.5 to 7.5 to 5.5 to 3.25, But that was a strong field. Its a Wrap just a ran a huge race here Friday in the finale under Manny Man just to be nipped by the CC firster (even though they moved back to 3rd) and this one finished ahead in the last, only losing to Mr Phil. There are some very interesting Firsters in the field, but If I can get 4/1 I’ll go in this direction.
Race 4
#5 Michael’s Bad Boy (7/2) , Gets huge class relief , You see Noble Emotion , Stanhope, Dante Fire, and Portfoliio Hedge in the running lines. Horse went the bench for over 7 months but Nevin has solid numbers off the bench and I’d like to think Manny would be on a dead horse. This one CRUSHES if everything is ok, however its concerning of such a slow work tab. #9 Fivestar Bandit (10/1), was always meant for lawn, and didn’t lift a foot both tries on the dirt (the debut was an off the turf event. Junior was outstanding here Friday, and also thats the big drop. Could be overlooked at the windows. #7 Petrus (6/1) , well meant firster, but I’ll let ‘em beat me, unless tote board tells me otherwise.
Race 5
Im not a fan of #1 Syndergaard (5/2) , Ive fading this one for a long time now, and hasn’t beat me yet, even though I note the drop. Money sucker. The #3 Dark Money (9/2) , #5 Morning Breeze (7/2) , & #6 Binkster (4/1) , All come outta the Amundson race and have these crazy numbers outta nowhere because of that. You all saw Amundson get trashed by Tribecca here Friday (now Im not sure if was the kid Romero’s fault trying to rate or wasn’t quick enough, but how these huge speed figures came back in a race where Amundson was setting quick fractions but doing it alone. is beyond me. When you have several horses coming outta same race, I Generally look to fade them all, because they are always overbet, on the previous results and the odds always reflect that. Unless you know for a fact it was really strong race, most cases a newcomer beats them and ends up being a bad race, its a really nice angle to find value in this game. Im going to Win and Place bet the #11 Mr. Phil (20/1) , I think the line is silly of course. But anything over 8/1 is fine for me. We talked about this one in the race 3 write up and if my pick there performs then you know this is pound play as Mr Phil beat him by 3.25. I think the lightbulb has come for this colt, just look at some of these works. 11APR half a mile in 48 and 1 (was good for 42/272, I need to see those other 41 horses lol) 08MAY 4f in 46 and 4 good for 1/113. 22MAY 5/8ths work in a minute and 2 (5/46). Did I mention Jose returns who got 2 seconds on this one here last year… @ 20/1 this would the value play of the year for me. Remember David does a great job with the m/l’s best in the businesss, imo. I understand trying winners is a big ask, but come on.

Race 6
We kick off the mandatory PICK 6. Chad brown has 4 in here and 15 in the sequence! The Major thing that jumps off the page is the total of lack of speed in this field, and were predicting either off the turf or a wet course. I have a feeling Irad is going to get aggressive and send the #5 Instilled Regard (7/2) , who could then get brave, but ONLY if a firm a turf course, The Chad Im most interested in is the #4 Flop Shot (6/1), Ships over off the bench , I like that he got this black colt works over the track, is a graded stakes winner overseas, gets the meds and Javy takes the reins. If a good or yielding turf course, this one goes up even more. #3 Somelikeithotbrown (15/1) , Has a chance to make the lead alone, and thats always dangerous. Maker can surprise in spots like these, go back to 2018 Breeders cup Juvenille and this one lead the entire way on a yielding course, and in the pilgrim before that did the same under the Ortiz brothers. #6 Synchrony (4/1) , is a 7 year old chestnut horse who gets a big upgrade in the pilot seat, and will be coming late, totes plenty of class, but prefer underneath.
Firm course I’ll be using the 4,5 , good or yielding I’ll be using the 3,4. Many horses can of course win this event, but I’ll take some stands.
Race 7
This is the return of #9 Code of Honor (6/5) , and there is some speed that makes this one a must use. But Im going to get creative here. I believe #4 Payne (8/1) will make the lead and get very brave out front with Kendrick, the more moisture in the track, the more this one goes up. Especially if the #6 Jovevia (20/1) , doesn’t show up yet again. So clearly using those first 2 in horizontals , but I want to make an across the board bet (increasing in investment from win to show) bet on #8 Forewarned (30/1) , I think its very interesting Manny takes this mount for the St. Lewis barn. These are the numbers when that happens: 10:2-1-2-2. . But another race where many can win, im just taking more stands.
Race 8
Well while Ill be playing a cheap ticket , this shit mission impossible, for a sequence. I’ll make the #12 Significant Form (5/2) , The top pick. I’ll use #5 Newspaperofrecord (3/1) , although there is plenty of speed to mess up this fillies comebacker. If a firm Turf Course I may even single the top choice. Another one where many can win, so I once again don’t advise putting some huge ticket together. Play a cheap on or 2 and bet individually. unless you seeing something im not.

Race 9
The Jockey changes in this race is really uncanny.. irad leaves #1 Firenze Fire (7/2) (who we will be rooting hard for to succeed and leaving the Jason Servis Barn) to ride #5 Network Effect (8/1) , and the list goes on. Personally I think #11 Vekoma (7/2) is back in a big way. Javy gets back on his derby horse last year, and was ultra impressive in the comebacker first race since under Manny Franco. Win bet at 3/1 or better. There is no reason to write on the rest of the field, because like I said I think this chestnut colt is back in a big way, and although its another loaded talented group, Im going for it here.
Race 10
There isn’t anything to write here in yet another WIDE OPEN affair. #12 Financialstabililty (5/1) , is a major player IF a fast track, the last 2 efforts in the slop where big let downs. Horse player instinct tells me the #7 Microscope (30/1) runs a big on, value goes way up if sloppy. #6 Quickflash (6/1) never ran a bad race, #4 Tale of the Union (8/5) , zero chance for a win bet at this price but cannot be ignored 2nd off the long layoff for the baffert stable , in the horizontals. #3 More Grateful (10/1) , not a hotter barn in the world than Mr. Cox’s , Manny rides. #9 The Last Ace (8/1) , Not sure I ever seen a colt from the Morrison barn be 2/1 on debut in a 60k MSW in NY, Breeding suggest will like the wet track, and while discouraged that great debut sent him to the bench he NOW receives the meds for the first time and is a must use in both situations. Their isn’t that much speed.
Fast track im using 3,4,6,9,12 Wet track im using 3,6,7,9
fast track is 12-3-4-9-6
wet track is 3-9-6-7
Race 11
If a Good or Yielding Turf Course , #7 Voodoo Zip (3/1) wires this field. But must use #3 Mr Jaggers (5/1) … #10 Red Storm Risen (15/1) Johnny and Graham deserve another chance , but prefer underneath. #13 Johnnypump (8/1 AE ) , is a 1.1 Mil purchase who could draw in. Watch the Tote for live action, but I’ll include on my ticket..
So basically Im taking a tiny shot at the pick 6 , but will be playing races individually throughout…
My pick 6 will be something like 2 x 2 x 2 x 1 x 5 x 3
Which is only $30
Good luck to us, and lets see the weather/changes
