I took the worst bad beat of my career tonight on Vanderbilt. I lost $400 when they lost at the buzzer on a 3. They were up 17 points in the 2nd half, and led the entire game. Miss State only led for 17 seconds the entire game - at 2-0, and at 75-74. Thats the type of loss that makes you not even want to gamble anymore. I've gotten destroyed at the buzzer in the last 3 weeks. Lost alot on the Celtics beating the Cavs at the buzzer. Lost when Rider blew a 16 point lead with 3 minutes left to Monmouth. Just been a brutal February. Worst I have ever had.Comment -

This is a terrible spot for Manhattan, as they are playing their 4th game in 6 days, 5th in 10 days, on top of being their 3 str8 road game. Furthermore they are coming off the Monmouth game 2 days ago which took a lot out of them as they really got up to try and sweep them as its the last chance to play a big game. The Jaspers also have one of the shortest benches in the nation.
St Peter's has won 3 straight and this is their 4 str8 @ home. Peacocks Defense and Rebounding should dominate this game. St Peter's does a good job of playing d w/o fouling and Manhattan gets a big chunk of their points from the stripe.
Barring 20+ turnovers from the peacocks and the Jaspers shooting lights out from deep, St Peter's should handle Manhattan rather easily here.
Looks like we got the key #3 right before the move, as it went to 3.5, soon after I placed the wager.
Side note, if we get a blow out win here, it will give us more value to fade St Peter's on their quick turn around tomorrow @ Quinny. The Bobcats could be a juicy a home dog tomorrow, w/ a lil revenge as they just lost to the Peacocks 9 days ago.
Considered 1h and ml plays here as well, but decided w/ the tired legs of a 3 point shooting team in Manhattan, lets maximize that angle and take the 40 minutes, save the juice and lay the 3...Comment -
Va tech has been off for 8 days and that will give Buzz Williams time to prep for Miami who isn't in a great spot here. Miami fresh off the 3 point win vs rival Florida St and they have North Carolina on deck.
Also when a team is off for more than a week, they tend to start slow offensively more often than not.
These are 2 of the slowest tempo defenses in the ACC and w/ the extra prep time and sandwich spot, you'd think this could be a shot clock killer. Miami fouls one of the fewest in the ACC and Va tech isn't far behind.

This line is just flat out inflated, due to Indiana home shooting. But believe it or not only 2 home conference games have crossed the 148 mark this season in Iowa (153) and Illinois in a game where Hoosiers put up 103. Only 1 Nebraska away conference game crossed the # here and that was against Purdue.
Nebraska plays at one of the slowest tempo's in the Big 10, and could be without Shavon Shields for the 3rd st8 game w/ a concussion. Neither team fouls all that much, and they both are at the bottom of the Big 10 when it comes to scoring from the charity strike.
The obvious concern here is Indiana's terrific outside shooting vs the poor Nebraska perimeter defense, however a lot of the hooiser's 3's come in transition. Tim Miles offense takes excellent care of the ball and should have a gameplan to shorten the game. I look for a lot of perimeter passing for the Cornhuskers here, while draining the shot clock.
In the first meeting it landed right on the number and Yogi went off for 24 while both teams shot lights out. Yogi has been in a major slump in the last 3 games going 8 for 34 from the floor and 4 of 21 from deep.
This is also not the best spot for Indy coming off Mich st game while having Purdue on deck. They should be motivated to get back a share of first after blow out loss, but even if they do win in blowout fashion it will favor the under.
2nd time around, and with any kind of scoring drought this game is gonna stay under the posted total, and another situation where a DD line should not have to worry about fouling late in the game.Comment -

Texas Tech was close to a play for me @ +5, told myself if I got 6 I was gonna throw 200 on it. So with the line drop It's a clear pass, as it is okie and they off a loss.

Just starting to study Bases for the upcoming season and I think I found value in the White Sox and D Backs. Long way to go before betting any futures but those 2 jumped off the page after a few days of capping.
Last year we crushed 2-0 on TT's fading the white sox and red sox, both to easy cashes...
The White Sox are going to have a sick 1-2 punch in Sale and Quintana and added some obvious pop in Todd Frazier. They also added Lawrie, Avila, & Navarro for some much needed depth. And those 2 catchers should do a great job managing this rotation. You already know about Abreu and Eaton
Carlos Rodon was electric at times and really could break out if he can find his control to even further deepen the rotation.
You could do a lot worse than Jones and Robertson in the pen.
Eaton, Cabrera, Abreu, Frazier, LaRoche is a dam good top 5 in the lineup and they have some depth.
W/ 2 potential cy young winners heading the rotation, I think the Chi Sox can make some noise.

You know the Dbacks have a legit offense already, lead by mvp candidate Goldy, but they went out and got Grienke and Shelby Miller.
Corbin was an all star just a few years ago, and De La Rosa/Bradley round out the rotation nicely.
The question is going to be their bullpen, I remember backing them 1st 5 a lot last year. But it seems much improved. The defense should be better and in a division that could be in a down year, seems like they could make some noiseComment -

2 teams going in completely different directions. Indy St has lost 4 of 5 w/ that only win coming against lowly Drake. The Sycamores only have 1 conference road win and its against, Yep you guessed it Drake. Their only other win on the road was in December against Saint Louis.
On the other hand we have Illy St. who has won 7/8 and holds a 11-3 home record w/ all 3 losses coming against much better comp. The redbirds boast wins over UNI, Whichy, & Evansville in during this hot streak, and still have outside chance to win the conference if the Shockers were to slip up.
