I'm confused. Wasn't Toronto a Bet 1 play? They lost ATS on Nov 20 as a JM V3 A Bet, or is the 7/5 system based only on JM V1. .
Feel free to give me $hit if I've not been paying attention.

Has anyone thought of this system before:
Instead of raising our unit size for each loss, u continue playing the 1 unit plays so lets say:
There are 100 games, and u bet 1 unit on each one, no matter if u win or lose, and lets say we have 40 season loses considering the worst case scenario we would finish with 60 - 40 = 20 units positive. But if we take 1-3-5 where we lose ~10 units per season loss and if we have 40 lost games lets say 5 of them are system loses so that would be 60 - 50 - = 10 units positive. I am not sure if i'm thinking the right way, need your opinions on this?

Even though we play them ATS, in order to qualify the team as a 7/5 play, the team has to lose the (A) bet per the JM buy 3 points rule plus an additional 0.5 points.
So a team must lose by a total of 3.5 points to the spread in order to qualify, not just lose ATS.

Wallco NBA Chase 110 2012-13 System to date: 10-0 (fin. series) System profit/loss: +10.00 units (fin. series) Current open series: 0
There are no system plays for (11/22/12) 1 Happy Thanksgiving fellow forum dwellers!
We will ALWAYS play the M/L on favorites and the point spread (-110) on dogs. There is no point buying in this system, with one exception, if your team is the favorite, and buying down to a (-½) point spread is cheaper than playing the M/L, then by all means, buy the points, otherwise, M/L on all favorites and point spread on dogs. All results will be based on this principle. All lines and standings are based on FINAL lines from ScoresandOdds.com/. If one of the teams we are playing switches from a favorite to a dog, after my initial post, make sure you get the appropriate line if it differs from what I have posted. The wins and losses will be based on who is the dog team, and who is the favorite on ScoresandOdds.com/ final lines. I will try to update my post as often as I can throughout the day, if the lines change. However, it is the individual bettor’s responsibility to get the appropriate line if it differs from the line in my post. System rules and backtest can be found in post #219.

They have to lose against the spread +3.5 points. If you add 3.5 points Toronto actually won 107-106. Even without the extra .5 filter they still won with 106.5

I try to follow the JM Systems as accurately as possible, but in NBA, what do you guys do when the buying 3 points takes the line to over -200?.
Because it makes the line very risky, and if your on a B or C bet, obviously you don't want to have to pass on the rest of the series.

Thats why 1-3-5 or the 7/5 method are recommended. With those methods you dont have to lay so much juice and can even gain more units.

there might be a B bet ill update soon. not sure if A bet was a push vs Indiana or not.
wallco since you back tested the system you want to confirm before i post unofficial play?
If you are referring to New Orleans, they would be a (B) bet today for the 1-3-5 bet method. The line was +7.5 and they lost by 8. They will NOT be a play for traditional JM buy 3 points or 7/5, but as far as 1-3-5, they are an official play if you are using that bet scheme.

Wallco to be honest I have no idea why, but I think like a few months ago my PM's where disabled or something...
Regarding New Orleans, I have it as a push if you played straight up. Final score was 115 to 107 and if you bought the 3 points that was an A Bet win.

I realize that it won buying points, but is that how you play your -110 bets also? If the buy 3 points wins then you stop your -110 chase, even if it doesn't cover? I'm a little confused, that seems to defeat the purpose of -110. It was listed at +7.5 on every site, so I am just trying to figure out where you found it at +8 to make the series a push. When I first came up with the 1-3-5, the idea was to continue ALL games that didn't cover ATS through the (C) bet if necessary, not concerning myself with whether or not it covered buying 3 points, and if the team pushed any game ATS, the series was over. They didn't cover or push, so there is no reason the ATS chase shouldn't continue to (B) even know the buy 3 points chase ended. Please elaborate. Thanks.
** I tried to send this in a PM but as you know I couldn't **
True. This is why we discuss things, gotta love it..
Wallco
If you want and if any one wants to chime in then that's fine. Do you want me to start continuing the series if they push on an A or B bet from now on at -110 odds?

No, i definitely wouldn't continue them if they PUSH, that is not my issue. I am just wondering how you got an 8 point game with a 7.5 point line to be a push. I thought you were using Covers.com. If you are using another site for your official plays and the line was +8, then I sincerely apologize. But I'm pretty sure this question was asked a few weeks ago and you said Covers.com was that site.

Thanks.
