#1 Detroit @ L.A. Lakers (M/L) (A) (9:35 pm EST)
We will ALWAYS play the M/L on favorites and the point spread (-110) on dogs. There is no point buying in this system, with one exception, if your team is the favorite, and buying down to a zero point spread is cheaper than playing the M/L, then by all means, buy the points, otherwise, M/L on all favorites and point spread on dogs. All results will be based on this principle. All lines and standings are based on FINAL lines from ScoresandOdds.com/. If one of the teams we are playing switches from a favorite to a dog, after my initial post, make sure you get the appropriate line if it differs from what I have posted. The wins and losses will be based on who is the dog team, and who is the favorite on ScoresandOdds.com/ final lines. I will try to update my post as often as I can throughout the day, if the lines change, but it is the individual bettor’s responsibility to get the appropriate line if it differs from my post. System rules and backtest can be found in post #226.Last edited by Wallco99; 11-04-12, 05:26 PM.Comment -

#319stevex:
n00b question here, and I know it's only a 10% difference in gain, of which can actually be significant if you're wagering in the $1,000s, but in today's bet for the Suns, +1.5 is -110, when just wagering that they win is +100. Is there a reason to go with +1.5 over the money line? Or is it just left up to the person on how they decide to bet their lines?Comment -

#332You need to take the M/L (not the spread) in order to accurately follow the system. I'm not sure of the results if you took the spread for the favorites, but its apparent that the backtest proved that we need to take the M/L in order to be profitable. Playing it any other way than what Wallco has laid out for us would be deviating from the system and not recommended.Comment -

#337I can only buy the half point in basketball. The casino where I bet won't let me buy the half point in football. There may be other casinos that will but I haven't found them. I only use about 2 or 3 different places to bet. And yes I have run into a few people who know of Morrison and his systems and almost all of them think he's a joke. Progressive betting is not very popular from what I have heard. But most of the people I have talked to are gamblers and not bettors. There is a difference.
bookie will gladly take all your action..and your buddies..even in vegas there are 100's of local bookies because the vegas books also have a huge edge..parlay payouts..teaser's..can't buy points..on and on...to
be a winner (only 2% are) you must have a minimum of 2 to 3 "out's"..various books to shop for the best possible number..otherwise you are "pissin in tha'wind".Comment -

#347official rules it would be a win, you are correct.
1-3-5 with out points should be an unofficial C-bet. This is what I was telling him the other day. BY JM rules its a win cause it would of been +10.5 spread and only lost by 10.Comment -

1-3-5 and 7/5 both have rough starts early in the season as the book makers try and decide which teams deserves which lines. If you look at last years thread I nearly went broke trying to labby this system because every bet seemed to go to the C wager. This year is no different and MAYBE a filter needs to be applied, but then again I'm just throwing it out there based on another system.
Solomans system does not play any games the first 10 days of the regular season to prevent past losses. That system is based on a fade of this system using halves. Even with a rough start to a lot of seasons, the john morrison system still prevails in the positive just about every season.
One thing I can mention that a lot of people do is keep your unit size small at the beginning then increase it to the normal size once you get further into the season. Or just follow Steve's labby numbers. They do not seem to inflated and will show a profit every season.
Big day for everyone tomorrow / wednesday.
