The Cleveland Cavaliers seemed like a willing trade partner and midday yesterday it seemed like a deal was not only workable but close. But as these things tend to do, it unraveled quickly when word surfaced that Kris Humphries would not do a deal on a one-year contract which then started a back and forth that ended the day with Cleveland backing out according to sources.
The Cavs were supposed to be the landing spot for Humphries on a one-year $9 million deal to which the Cavs would get a first round pick for playing broker. The deal expanded pretty aggressively with Luke Walton’s contract being tossed in at some point. Late last night, as the deal was said to be gaining serious traction, sources close to the process said the Cavs appeared to be backing out after making a demand to obtain Brook Lopez for themselves, too. There was talk of second-year forward Tristan Thompson being packed in to Orlando in exchange for not getting Lopez and that’s when things seemed to derail.

Howard is not dominant. I thought you knew basketball? Bynum's skill set is far better. I know you don't think he passes well out of double teams but he's still better at it than Howard and on top of that he has more moves. Anyone with a clue about the game knows that. Only thing Howard has the edge in is blocking shots.

all things healthy, orlando starting five would be even matchup against miami starting five. the only reason i dont say better is because lebron is just that good. as good as dwigth is, lebron is just that much better.

but dwill is top 5 pg when his head is in the game, and gerald wallace may be better then joe johnson for all around contribution.

Gerald wallace is ok at times but not nearly consistent enough to be worth the money they've tied up with him... he can completely disappear at times... so those saying he'll be the difference need to get real

Of course. Howard is a perfect 2nd man in a duo which involves a superstar guard like Williams or a Chris Paul or Wade etc. Howard took a solid Magic team to an NBA finals, albeit they would have never beat the Celts that year if KG was playing. Still, I can't imagine Bynum carryiing a team to an NBA finals as the team's star player. He's overrated bro. He has two rings and didn't contribute anything to those championship teams except for 1-2 games of the 2nd ring.

Lakers better with Bynum. Almost identical #'s. Howard is banged up now. Bringing in a true PG will help this team immensely. Kobe had to create a lot of shots last few years that he won't have to this year. Expect a big year from Bynum. If Lakers get rid of Bynum for Howard, Cashmann is a fool. A FOOL!
