Miami should have won game 1 and everyone on their team knows it. They were spanking OKC, things going exactly as I said in the writeup. Durant was the only cold-blooded player on that team to start. I predicted a good game from Westbrook and poor one from Harden but Durant proved me wrong that game.
THe key mistake MIA made was letting Shane Battier guard Durant in the 4th quarter. I have no clue what this tool Spolestra is gonna do, and that is a move that I didn't anticipate and hence cost me money.
On the other hand, I felt that Sefalosha should be guarding James, and if Brooks was smart, he would put him on James. It turns out he did and it was a good decision because Durant was getting blown by every play when he guarded James.
Just that shows you how much I know about basketball. I'm a basketball genius.
D Wade had a good game but not great. He was only great on the defensive end. He'll need to stop looking to set up his teammates and be selfish in this game. Forget about the assists.
Serge Ibaka will be a non factor in this series as I predicted. He got burned in game 1 defensively. He's merely a shot blocker, nothing more. Camping out in the paint is not going to work against MIA. You'll either get burned on the 3 or will get in foul trouble.
MIA will have to get to the free throw line more to win this game.
If Lebron checks Durant for most of the game, I don't see how OKC can win. Durant, 36 points on 20 shots, had 17 of those in the 4th quarter when Shane Battier gaurded him.
Wade will guard Westbrook more for sure. Harden tried to guard Lebron for stretches in game 1 and that was embarassing. Harden will get abused if they try that again. He'll have a much better game today but I still don't see Harden dropping more than 15.
This game is all about Lebron James and Dwayne Wade. If their midrange jumper is falling, they will win. You could tell OKC was backing off 2 3 feet begging Lebron and Wade to shoot it.
If MIA loses this series I will never post on SBR again. I will only log in to collect some points so I can pay a few people.
