#39Lol, where can I sign up for that book? But for this game I'd say wait until LA wakes up and collectively bets on the Lakers. If the line doesn't move I'll take OKC, otherwise probably no play for me.Comment -

#41I like the Lakers to keep it a game at +8, however I don't think they will win straight up. OKC is too fast and like NC said there only chance is for there bigs to have big games, but I think Ibaka and Perkins can handle there own defensively. Lakers definitley have to control the tempo of the game to have a shot. GLComment -

#43You are always so quick to just place blame on the coach.
The Thunder made everything. Literally, everything. They were able to get out on the break at times as well. Overall though, Game 1 was never going to be a good spot for the Lakers. They were coming off a long, emotional series and the Thunder had to listen to everyone talk about how rusty they were going to be. OKC wasn't going to let that happen and they came in prepared and ready to go.
As for the bigs, I thought LA was trying to get them established. Sometimes when things start going the wrong way, you get out of your offensive rhythm. It's not like Kobe was firing away all night. They seemed to do a decent amount of in and out ball movement which is why Artest was having a good game (at least early anyway).
Gasol and Bynum were talking after the game. Expect a lot of high-low between those two in Game 2. In my opinion, Gasol should be playing in the high post at the elbow a lot more than he does. Part of that is on Brown but the truth is that that's not something that players need to be told. That's just part of playing the game. In fact, Brown doesn't really need to do squat. These guys have all played together for years now with the exception of Sessions. They know what to do out there it's just a matter of doing it.
I know this was a bad spot for the Lakers. I didn't expect them to win or even cover. But to give up 98 points in three quarters? You can say all you want about the Thunder making everything they tossed up, but the Lakers' defense and effort was pitiful and as long as Mike Brown is the head coach, he is responsible for that. If it isn't, why even have a coach at all? Or why is there a difference between having Phil Jackson and Mickey Mouse on the sidelines?Comment -

#51I don't know why people think LA will respond with a win or cover. Didn't they just get pushed to the brink with Denver. A team that was mediocre but could play well, especially at home. I know most people don't like betting favorites, but they are favored for a reason. OKC is playing well and are at home. Do you think OKC is top 3 team in the NBA this year? Do you think LA is in the top 6 or 7 teams? I say LA won't figure out what to do and will lose again. The question is will they lose by less than 8. If the NBA is like the NFL, you just have to pick the winner and the majority of time they will cover.Comment -

#69We were like 7th in the league in points in the paint and outscored LA in the paint in game one.
Meanwhile, the Lakers have Kobe taking fade away shots with hands in his face.
A lot of our shots are open looks.
