I think a better question is, given what happened in Game 1 and the fact that Rondo is out, why did this line only open at -3.5 vs. -5.5?

The celtics played them tough aside from the first quarter. And isn't ray allen back?

Come on guys. I am sure you have seen this plenty of times. A Star player hurt, no way they win right? Other players will step up.

Hawks are pretty square tomorrow. Hawks are notorious for playing down to other teams levels. However, it's hard to imagine the Hawks will be in a "let down spot" in a playoff game.

C's will be ready w/ or w/o Allen.

Most gifts come in shaped like cubes and thats what this is, a gift. also the over 172 is a gift too considering the shooting from both teams, Atlanta blew them away early while garnett was shooting 1-9 fh and pierce went 5-19, yes star is out and someone will stepup, but atlanta now know if they slack off celtics can easily take the game if it wasnt for rondo giving them double tech's it may of happened, i doubt allen will be back either.. I cant see hawks not winning this by less than 7.

I think alot of teams will keep the gas pedal on now after what happened to memphis.

great test for the injured star theory here...
""This is a resilient basketball team," Rivers said. "That's what we've been all year. Sometimes, it takes this stuff, for whatever reason, to snap us into playing the right way. I don't know whether we're going to win or lose, but I can guarantee you we'll be ready to play.""
