my prediction

This will be a crucial game for miami. Will be a very close game.
I like miami to win but my luck will always be the opposite for boston to cover with their spread +2

I expect a low scoring first half with the two tight D.

Looking forward to tonight's game.

I am torn right now on this one... Boston has so much pride and will hang tough but this is not going to be easy for them. They're going to need Rondo to play another great game, a huge effort from Garnett, and some magic like they got from Pietrus in Game 5 and Dooling in Game 4. Pierce is a champion but I just don't know see him playing the kind of game he would have delivered 3 or 4 years ago.

Hmm.......what do you think about the total.

Also, do you ever take series bets TWizz? I haven't taken any so far, but if Miami wins today I'm thinking of laying something down on them assuming they'll be at least +120 for the series.

I would lean the Under in a game like this but I will not bet the total.

I took a Series bet on Miami after Game 2 in the Finals last year and thought I was golden. They won Game 3 and then we all know what happened. I would take the Heat in a series against OKC but I'd rather go game by game than take a series bet. I already kind of have that possible series matchup mapped out in my mind actually

Boston first half team total just dropped a half point at the Greek. Not a good sign but oh well.

I'm on BOS +5 1H as well TWizz, really glad to see you on it as well. Yeah not a great sign, but hasn't Greek been all over MIA since the line opened? They were the only book to hold at -/+ 8 when most books dropped down to 7.5. Their MIA ML is up around -470 whereas most other books are sitting around MIA -435.

Don't know bout you guys but I love to see Miami lose just on principle of how over hype this team is and how Boston was written off well before the playoffs.. heck even before the beginning of the season.

NBA Finals Game 1:

Thunder -4.5 -110 (10x)

Getting this bet in now because it looks like this line is moving up fast. I think the Thunder take Game 1 as it will take the Heat a game to adjust. BUT...

I am taking Miami in this series. OKC will take Game 1 at home but the Heat will find a way to steal Game 2 and then they will come back home in a perfect situation for the three consecutive games in Miami. I just think that people are way way way too in love with Oklahoma City. Neither team has much of a frontcourt but it's not like Ibaka will be blocking your average joe's shots out there like he does all season. Lebron and Wade will attack the rim and don't be surprised to see Ibaka get into foul trouble throughout this series.

But the biggest reason I love Miami in this series is because I feel very strongly that Lebron will shut down Durant in the crucial moments of these games. It might not happen in Game 1 but as the series goes on, look for James to guard KD late in games and for Durant to be disrupted and frustrated and force up contested shots from the outside. Durant still has the height advantage but not by as much as he usually does and on top of that James can guard him close because he doesn't need to worry about Durant blowing by him as he can stay with him step for step.

So with all that said, I think OKC comes in prepared and ready in Game 1 and plays a great game much like Chicago did over Miami in the ECF last year. If the Thunder do in fact win Game 1 like I expect, I will likely take Miami Series in the +200s.

Bet whatever you feel is appropriate. I like OKC a lot in Game 1 but keep in mind that I am playing with some house money here.
