#1157I have a version 2.0 of this system. I applied this system to any Team playing 3 or more games in a row at home that the home team will cover 1 of the halves. For example, if Boston is beginning a homestand where they play 3 or more games in a row at home, take Boston to cover 1st half in game one. If they win, series is over. If they do not cover 1st half, you will place a "B" bet on them second half and so on. Thoughts? Backtested it and it was highly successful.Comment -

#1164As previously discussed labby is the best way to go with this to have a safe bankroll. Instead of chasing for 1 unit per series, just run a labby line with all the plays. Make less profit, but if there is a loss you will still be up on the season.Comment -

#1166What is the stratergy if there is a Push.
I had Bulls -4 first half.
Do we continue to chase? Or do we just accept it is a squared series and be happy not have lost?

#1167i believe if it pushed a half you just wager the same amount on the next half. because if you were on the 4th half, etc. you would be out a first, second and third wager.

#1168this system does not start until after first couple weeks of season, also a push is just looked at as no play, you could have a series with only 4 or 5 plays, labby is it with this, jm is right on thatComment -

#1169Thanks your advice in respect of The Push makes sense.
However I believe this system was designed as a chase system and that's the way I will be playing.
I understand the risk if a series is lost and have set my unit at a modest amount.

NBA ROAD SYSTEM .... HALVES / ATS
(EXPLANATION REVISTED FOR 2011 - 12)
THE PLAN: The idea of the nba road system (halves/ats) is to play against a road team that is out of its comfort zone and with the fatigue factor to consider, so we play up to the last 6 halves of a 3 or more games road trip. Stop the series when a cover is made by the home team. Find your best line for the first half and if the first half loses bet at half-time for the 2nd half.Betting progression: To win one unit... double bet plus juice until it covers. See below for more details.
RULES FOR THE ROAD SYSTEM WITH HALVES (ATS)
1. Bet against the road team (ats) on a road trip of three or more games.
2. Play up to the LAST 3 games of a road series until a cover is made. Of course on a 3 game road trip it would all 3 games.
3. Find your best line for the first half and if it does not cover place your bet at half-time for the second half for the second play of the series. If there is still a no cover after two plays, your third play would be the first half of the second game of the series and etc.
4.Betting progression: the goal is to win one unit. (see below for more details)
5. Series games must be 3 games or less between games or the series is a no play.
6. The main problem with this system: You must be available to make half-time wagers.
* 6 game series ... start with the 4th game of the series
* 5 game series ... start with the 3rd game of the series
* 4 game series ... start with the 2nd game of the series
* 3 game series ... start with the 1st game of the series
BETTING PROGRESSION TO WIN ONE UNIT (based on -110)
First play .......... risk 1.1 to win 1.0
Second play .... risk 2.3 to win 2.1
Third play ......... risk 4.85 to win 4.41
Fourth play ...... risk 10.2 to win 9.26
Fifth play .......... risk 21.4 to win 19.46
Sixth play ......... ????????
EXAMPLE SERIES: ATL @ LAC, GS, PHO
1st play: atl @ lac (1st half) risk 1.1 to win 1.0 ........ results - loss
2nd play: atl @ lac (2nd half) risk 2.3 to win 2.1 ...... results - loss
3rd play: atl @ gs (1st half) risk 4.85 to win 4.41 .... results - win
The series ends with a cover on the 3rd play for 1 unit won.
Comments: The system will start in Jan and go thru Apr with Apr being optional. During full seasons I usually stop at the end of March. I will consider no plays after the middle of Apr.
This is my 9th year and have won every year. This year will be different because of the short season.
THE SCHEDULES WILL BE POSTED BEFORE JAN.
Horseface2721...........
The road trip mentioned is a 5 game road trip starting on the 17th and ending on the 25th. The dates of the road trip are the 17th, 18th, 20th, 21st, and 25th. There are 4 days between the last 2 games which would make the series a no play but since it is a 5 game road trip I used the middle 3 games to qualify it for a series. Since there are several series starting on the 18th this series could be optional if you prefer.
Thanks for being heads-up and for your input in this thread.Comment -

#1186Hey JW Cash, could you explain this with numbers/example? I've seen a lot of people refer to the labby through this thread, and I did some research on what a labby was, but I've yet to get my head around it when used for sportsbetting with juice. I understand the original concept of starting with a progression of 1 2 3 4, and everytime you win, you mark off the end numbers, and when you lose you add the amount lost to the end, but could you explain how to use it in the context of sports betting? Thanks!Comment -

Starting labby line: 10-10-10-10
Say you bet $22 to win $20 and lost. Add that to the end of your line and your new line becomes:
10-10-10-10-22. Your next bet is to win $32 say that bet wins. now your new line is 10-10-10.
Simple really. Hope this helps.Comment -

#1189Say your unit size is $20.

If you lose a second time and add 35.20 to your line of 10-10-10-10-22-35.20, and then place the next bet to win 45.20, and you do win that, putting you at -12.. do you just keep going with your line until you've profited, carrying it to the new series?

#1190Hey Ive been reading this thread and have a couple comments.....
I think nbk is right when he says if there are 3 or more days in between one of the last 3 games then it is a no play therefore it eliminates about 5 plays that are posted in the spreadsheets....
I went through the first excel that was posted by TeenNookMum and I found a handful of mistakes. I was going to post an updated spreadsheet but it didnt save because i have an older version of excel or some shit. I would do it again but I don't have time right now. The only big problem I found was the entire Houston Rockets schedule, it looks like when TeenNookMum did it, he did the last 3 HOME games of the rockets instead of the ROAD games....That was the big problem I found, other small ones were about 5 series werent plays because theres 3 or more days in between games at the end of the road trip, about 4 dates were wrong (only off by a couple days), and there were 2 series before christmas break that arent plays before they start before the break but finish after the break. Like I said I had a spreadsheet ready to post but it never saved dammit
And also, JM, so you think labbying would be better for this system?Comment
