I know it's early, but I'm already excited for this game. I wonder which way it's gonna go...
Been fading L.A. the past few games ever since I thought for sure they'd at least win that game at Golden State the other day. Not. Is this gonna be the game that the Lakers get their groove on and win one at Staples? Naaahh, I don't think so.
LAL are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 home games and have lost five in a row now total. SA are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 vs. NBA Pacific.
The UNDER is 7-0 in the last 7 meetings in Los Angeles and 21-6 in the last 27 meetings between the two teams.
Lakers already got their revenge on March 6th when they went to Texas and walked all over the Spurs in a total beatdown. San Antonio has to get up for this game since they could be playing again very soon.
I don't see Popps resting anyone and he hasn't the past few games, with most starters getting average of 25 mins/game. San Antonio has turned it around since that six game losing streak ending with the OT beat at Houston. Now they are playing their style of ball again while we all know the Lakers are not. Lakers have tanked five in a row and are going for number six very soon man! Tuesday!
Even Phil Jackson had this to say about his team's performance after day four of losses in a row:
That is the kind of attitude and lack of attention and focus that we need the Lakers to maintain when the Spurs go in there and whoop some sloppy, tired Laker ass. (I'm a Celtics fan in case you don't know.)
With the exception of the buzzer beater 1 point win in L.A., these other games this season were dd wins of 15 and 16 points, each on their own court. So does that mean Lakers will tie it up and win this one at Staples by one point? I'm having a hard time believing it will be this one. Maybe their last game in Sacramento, but not this one. Or if so, then 1 point is good cuz I'm taking S.A.
Each team will be rested, but I see San Antonio is hungry and they will try to beat the best, especially while the best is in a slow-motion funk, just crusing on auto-pilot for the last two games, much like last year, and waiting for the playoffs so then they can shoot out of a cannon and dominate, like they know how to do.

But for now I'm gonna have to take my chances and roll with the Spurs.
I'm guessing line will be about Lakers -3. O/U should be 194??
Thinking San Antonio wins by six. Might play the over even though trends show under a lot, but S.A. throwing down a lot of baskets lately and going over.
