some issues raised in the first half:

1)fan appreciation night
2)spurs had two days off since an easy blowout win
3)spurs still battling chicago for a potential home court advantage in the finals

It wasn't as much a matter of the players coasting as it was the bench getting more minutes. McDyess,got the night off and the other 4 starters averaged only 28 minutes.

On a side note, I continue to chip away at a deficit that was once around -17 and could still finish in the black.
