Lakers Tanking, Would Rather Face Hornets In First Round
Phil Jackson is crazy like a fox, maybe it will work out for him, I know who to bet on if this comes down to the final game and they need to lose or win in order to face the Hornets, dont think they want Denver in the first round.

Lakers owned the Hornets all season...plus the fact that NO is missing a star player in David West, I think its the right thing to do.

I know the standing that is not the point. Im looking at it right now and trying to figure out how they could make that possible. As i said i THOUGHT they were already locked to play okc i was not positive that is why i asked...hmmm ..BTW since you know everything answer my question on how they can make this happen, how many games would be needed for no to win/lose lakers to win or lose and all that.and i never said that would rather means is going to i was stating what someone said jesus christ.

What you mean how could it happen, Denver could end up in 5th,6th, or tied for last place, Lakers could end up in 2nd, 3rd or even 4th place.

why in the fukk would a team of professionals, give a rats ass who they play in the first round? you gotta win 16 games regardless of who you play. are you gonna be happy just b/c you made it past the first round, by beating on some hapless team, only to lose in the second rd? the only thing that matters is an nba title. the teams with a chance to win it all, shouldn't care who they play in the first round. you still gotta go through the contenders to win anything.

So a team would rather face a team in the first round that they dont matchup with well or have trouble beating opposed to a team they dont have trouble with? This aint nothing new, its been going on for decades.

The Lakers will have to face the Bulls in the Finals, and they pretty much just lost all hope of having homecourt advantage in that match up... BULLIEVE!!!!!

It is a conspiracy. Upper management strategy is at work.

The best excuse to lose on purpose is resting my players for the playoff but really now, we are fighting for position in them brackets.

what more do they have to prove? look at how well they played after the all star for so long. Their losses mean nothing bar Denver because the nuggs are a good team and could go to L.A and win. Utah and GS mean squat. Portland is a good team who can beat lakers in portland even if the lakers are hot but the lakers regular season ended after that losee to denver when they thought they couldnt catch the spurs.
